1. Can I create extra worlds? ex: ones like Yoshi Island and star world. If so how?
2. How do I create custom Backgrounds? I want my own pictures in the background.
3. how do I get graphics from this site into my game/Lunar Magic http://php4you.irth.net/KT15X/kt.php ?

thanks!

Well, most of those are answered in FAQs if you would look around.

1. You dont so much create new worlds as remake the ones that are already there. You can use different GFX than are already there.

So the answer to createing new worlds is NO?

All I need to know is how to create new backrounds.

I figured out how to impost new ExGFX.

Well, be more specific. The most broad question about hacking SMW is "How do I hack SMW"

Yours is only a tad bit more specific.

I want to create a brand new world. Like star world. I want to have ALL of the worlds already in this game still there and have another world. I want to use the door that leads to vannila dome but have 2 doors. One to lead to vannila dome and one that leads to another world.

Well, you can't make a new world. You can edit, but you can't make a new one. Why would you want the original overworld, anyway?

You cant add more now. It may be possible later, but there is no reason for it. Right now to make a BG this is what you have to do:
1. Get what you want for the BG (Either a bmp or a ripped BG from another game
2. Put it into a ExGFX file using a Tile Editing program.
3. Insert ExGFX file into hack.
4. Choose that file in Super GFX Bypass.
5. Arrange the tiles in the 16x16 editor window in the correct Map16 page with correct palette. (May need to change palette.)

Thats how I do it. Be sure you hit F9 or F10 (Whichever it is to save Map16) a lot so nothing goes away that you worked really hard on. (Trust me, it sucks)

Your changes will only go away if you change levels without saving the gfx first.

And I would also like there to be more OV screens, and a larger Main OV Area.
I myself don't want to keep any of the original OV Map desings, but I would like to have more than 7 OV areas.

I agree ATMOS X there should be more 'OVs' as you call them.

I am having trouble inserting ExGFX into Lunar Magic. I have the folder called ExGraphics located in the same place as my ROM (My Documents) and when ever I click on the yellow mushroom (the one that says Insert ExGFX to Rom) it always says No ExGFX located in /ExGraphics folder or something like that. Help Please!!

Rename them like so...

Anything > ExGFX80.bin

Then insert them.

@Atma X et al.: It is an easy to asmhack SMW to use more OV maps (even multiple overworld-sized), but LM isn't set up to edit them anymore. Tilemaps can be easily edited with a hex editor, but events or L1 (level tiles etc.) are much harder. Fusoya should insert some customization features as editing the tile map at a given ROM adress.
