A friend of mine has corperate editions of various software pieces because his dad has some sort of corperation. He's offered to lend me a couple of them so I can install them on my computer. Is it legal?

I would say no because corporate licenses are different from home-use licenses, somewhere in the corporate license probably states that the software can only be used on company land and unless the corporation owns the land your house is on, i don't think so...

The licences usually state that the software must be used only for work for the company that owns the licence. You can use it on a home computer IF you are using it for buisness related things.

It's probably illegal, check the license first.

Only if the license permits you (unlikely) or if you bought it (also unlikely).
