| My friend being an IGN insider, has watched the PS3 conference. Don't get me wrong, him, myself and all of my friends have been hyped over for the Xbox 360 when they saw it, but just when you thought things couldn't get better, all I'm hearing is that the PS3 Conference blows and annihilates the Xbox 360 out of here. | another thing I find cool with the ps3 is this "The industry-wide shift to multicore processing platforms will have a major impact on developers in the coming years since now we're moving into more complicated hardware. A lot of the burden will fall upon the hardware manufacturers themselves to design systems and provide tools that will make it easier for programmers to write games. Sony has announced that the PS3 will use Open GL/ES a specialized API closely related to Open GL, and programmers will be able to access the Cell's SPEs using C or C++ tools instead of having to program on the assembly-level as with the PS2." so that means from now on developers will probably be using C++ for making the ps3 games, which will probably shorten the amount of time it takes to create the games. |

| Yep, and after just getting done watching the Conference myself, I can confirm what you just said Darth Dcahren. "It's easy, and like making games for the PC". Programming for new games will definitely be more flexible now. Seriously though, the power of the PS3 is beyond me. The best part was the EyeToy segment, where a guy took 2 Cups, and was able to dip them into a bath in the game, filling the cups with water, and able to toss the water out, pour the water from one cup to another, as if it were real. | yeah that was pretty neat, it would be hard to play a game like that though, and a little akward....Eyedentify looks interesting also....that forumula 1 racing game looked amazing also, the cars close up almost looked real and it had smooth gfx and what not...I watched the whole 2 hours of E3 footage, and it showed some pretty sweet stuff. | |||

| Console hype = lame. Every intelligent person will go with the games, rather than the features that won't make a giant difference in the end. I mean, look at the XBox.  |
