| The activation of smileys is disrupting my ability to post as I like. I've tried twice to have something like this... Bolded Title: Following text. When I use either >HTML tags< or [board code brackets] followed by a colon, it makes a smiley face. Something needs to be done about this. The best bet would be to add a "disable smileys" option when you post, or in your profile. Perhaps you could require smileys to be posted inside {fancy brackets} which aren't used in HTML or board code. Just wanted to bring this to attention. |

| My suggestion: Add a thing in the new post/reply pages where you choose if you're going to use smileys or not. Also, add a thingie to the Edit Profile page where you set the default setting so that, if you hate smileys for instance, you won't have to check the "disable smileys" box every time you post. |

| Are you suggesting this for here, or asking about it? Ogre did an old tutorial / "hack" with "Post Options" that allowed you to disable Smiley's, HTML, Layouts, and &commands& upon a new reply, and new thread etc. I don't see why it shouldn't be added here, honestly. | To clarify, I did mean to add it here. I'm not interested in making my own board. And Smallhacker, that's what I meant; a checkbox when you post a message to check if you want to use Smileys or not. | |||

| Yeah, the "Post Options" hack had simple checkboxes. A new table would be added below "Password" or wherever the person put it, where they can select multiple things to turn off. Just to clerify. But yeah, wouldn't be a bad thing to add. |
