I just saw Snatch. today, and wow, what a cool movie.

Kind of like Pulp Fiction in the way it's presented; it follows a group of shady underworld goons revolving around this one fucking huge diamond.

Two thumbs up from me.

I've seen the beginning a few times, but never the whole thing. I'll get around to watching in maybe... *checks* ... 9 hours, 54 minutes.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels >>>>>> Snatch

Snatch is a great movie, though. There's some other similar movie coming out... I think it's advertised as being by the producer of LS&TSB and Snatch.

Snatch is a good movie. So is Lock Stock.

Abnormal Freak: Revolver probably. Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, writer/director of Snatch and Lock Stock. Haven't heard much about it, but hopefully it'll be good.

No, the movie I'm thinking of is Revolver, the new Guy Ritchie film.
Layer Cake has nothing to do with Guy Ritchie, except that Layer Cake is directed by the producer of Snatch and Lock Stock, Matthew Vaughn. Guy Ritchie did nothing for it, still a good film though.

Sorry, I was referring to "I think it's advertised as being by the producer of LS&TSB and Snatch."

I just looked up Revolver, sounds ok, but we'll see.

Actually, Layer Cake is the movie I was thinking of. Note I said the producer of those other two movies. I did not know of Revolver.

Actually, I felt it to be the other way around. I laughed more at Snatch, and basically the DE scene was the summation of all badassery.

That being said, there were some parts of LS&2SB I liked better than Snatch, such as how most of the characters were explained fairly quickly, and I wasn't sitting there like "Who the hell are these people?"

Both were really cool though, and 8/10 is what I gave them both at IMDB.

Lock stock is better than Snatch (although we also got the terrible, terrible TV spin off of Lock stock.... *shudders*

Although Brit film wise Shaun of the Dead craps all over them both

Bah, best British film = Trainspotting.

Yeah, that's basically not something you can even debate, it's the pure and simple truth, and everyone should know it.

But if you're looking for literary accompaniment to LS&2SB, invest in Dave Courtney's autobiography, Stop the Ride: I Want to Get Off. Let's just say he's where they got the idea for the tanning bed scene.

I have Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels on DVD, but not Snatch, although I think I should get it. I did enjoy Lock Stock more, but they were both great movies.

Course, the first time I saw Lock Stock it took me a while to be able to understand all the British slang!

And you dealt with the fookin' poikies just fine?

I'm in the Snatch camp, well and truly. Sneaky fuckin' Russians, the poikies, brilliant narration, and the Nemesis speech.
