Nothing quite like a funny taste in the water to make ya' say "...huh...?"

Just talked to m' best friend about it...since he used to be a Chemistry major, and stil some equipment. I used to be in the sciences as well...a quick distillation showed that yes, it's contanminated. By dihydrogen monoxide.

Of all days of the year for this to take place, it had to be today. Great joke for somebody, to go and foul the water like that. I did a quick search about the chemical and this is what I found.

I'll probably be getting a water filter soon. Hope you guys still have safe drinking.

Dihydrogen monoxide? Wouldn't that be H2O?

Water contaminated by water ... nice one

I read an article on this LONG ago... old joke, but still funny to play on clueless people nonetheless.

I figured this one wouldn't last long...but the article is still funny. Particularly when people don't know their basic chem.

Heh, that reminds me of this story i heard not long ago.

"ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - City officials were so concerned about the potentially dangerous properties of dihydrogen monoxide that they considered banning foam cups after they learned the chemical was used in their production."

Nice try. When I was in Chemistry last year, my teacher popped that on us. I was the only one in my class who got it.
