Well, that's exactly WHY it failed, IMO. Everyone was prejudiced against it before it even came out. Now, XBox and PS2 are the most popular consoles on the market.

On the other hand, lots of people had hopes for the GameCube - but I knew it wouldn't be popular with the adult audience when I first saw pictures of the controller and system about a year before it came out. On the other hand, I also had a feeling the XBox would pull out of its slump and take off in short order.

Maybe they should hire me if they think the market's unpredictable, cause it seems pretty obvious to me

Yiffy Kitten -- but you can use other legal services besides iTunes on your iPod. I don't use the iTMS, it's not even available in Australia (yet, a record company is holding it up) and I've legally aquired MP3's and been able to put them on my iPod before...

I do not own an iPod or a cell phone.
The idea of devices that can do everything makes me kind of ill.
It jacks up the price of the gadget, tries to do too many things, and probably does few of them well. Thankfully I never call anyone, and nobody calls me, and there's no need for a cell phone (if I want to talk to someone, I'll go to where they are and speak to them).
Meh.... I can imagine me having one, and trying to dial 911 in an emergency and accidentally starting an MP3 or a game of pong.

Owning a iPod shuffle myself, and a separate Cell Phone, that can just send and recieve SMS and makes calls.

And for my Videogaming Needs, I have my trusty Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS (And Tetris is best played on a Game Boy, Peroid).

But Bill is right in the aspect, if the owner of the cell phone founds out, how to use the mp3 option of his cell phone, he or she will use it.

The problem with those multi functional devices (ie. Cell Phones) is, that when the function doesn't work on the first try, the consumer won't try it again.
