| Ah, god, I hate Gaia Online... My girlfriend's sister plays it and does nearly nothing else online at all. I'd rather stick to the roleplaying forums here, at least they're centralized and not blatant spam boards. Just looking at the front page of the site makes me want to heave, it's filled with so many annoying members and overemotional high school initiates that sifting through the junk and the whine-tastic blogs to find something that's actually worth reading is more or less pointless. Yes, it has billions of posts in it, but no, it's not worth being a part of, in my opinion. I don't like places like that in general... EDIT: Ow.... This user has averaged 323 posts per day since August 2004 ... that's what, more than half of this board's usual amount?  I swear the ACS would be hell over there, the ACS thread would have to be limited to ACS posts only or else you'd never ever find them buried deep under chatroom-like spam  Makes me wonder actually if a total spammer posting a lot of worthless crap in some of the huge threads would possibly risk getting banned, since it's sort of hard to moderate a board with 20000 users online and a million posts per day *takes a look at some of the posts in one of the super huge threads* Wow... This has been really slow since last I was here. Like... 5 pages in 3 hours?That says enough And it's full of short pointless posts (sometimes double posts) such as "So is anyone here? anyone at all?", "g2g", "Bye." and "*wanders in*" ... in other words, a chatroom full of people where nothing meaningful ever happens ...Some of the other forums with actual topics seem fine, though, at least from the few threads I checked (they weren't too big either), so I guess it's not all spam |
