Joe, a musician, always brought along a tape player to listen to music. Jack, a banker, brought a thermos containing a drink. Jim and John were both lawyers and brought books to read. One day in a mist filled room, John was found dead with a deep wound through his heart. The police were called, and they questioned all three suspects, but they all said they had seen anything. A search was called, but no murder weapon was found.... What happened? |

I have never heard this one before, but here's my guess: Jack's thermos contained the liquid equivalent of mustard gas, or some very dangerous acid. He convinced John to drink it while they were in the tub. The acid/drink did not take effect until he had gotten out of the tub, and it burned through his skin when he got into the misty room... either that or the acid in his body reacted with what was in the mist and then it burned through him. One way or another, that drink burned through him. |

Alright...I'll try this idea. Turkish Bath...I'm thinking a Sauna type place. Everyone except soon-to-be-dead John left the Sauna early, and locked the door by accident. He tried to get out by charging the door, but he couldn't get through. Then, some glass from the door broke off and pierced him good. Note: I'm not good with these, but I might get lucky soon. |

Nope. There was no trace anywhere whatsoever of whatever it was that caused the wound.

Originally posted by Kirby all the way Wait... you said "not exactly" meaning that my thermos thinking was right. Therefore... Thermos keep the tempature of its contents the same no matter what. So say the thermos was stuck in the freezer before Jack went to the spa. The water or whatever in it is frozen now... when they go in the steam room, only he and John are there. Jack could have made a sharp object out of the ice, and then stabbed John in the heart. And the reason they couldn't find the weapon: the ice melted. |

The man behind the bar shot him eh? I bet you avoided saying "bartender" on purpose, hmm? The guy behind the bar wasn't the bartender.... he was some dude with a gun doing something illegal, like maybe he'd just shot the bartender, and he didn't want any witnesses so he shot the guy who came in. And no, I'm not psychic, I just have a very analytical mind (edited by Jagori on 05-12-04 08:32 PM) |

The bar was a metal bar which he hit his head on rather than an actual pub/bar?

Five men were proceeding together down a country path. It began to rain. Four of teh men quickened their pace, but the fifth man made no attempt to move any faster. However he remained dry while the others were soaked. They all arrived at their destination together. How can this be so. They only relied on foot power. |

Wild guess, but hopefully it's right: The storm was moving in the same direction they were... and it must've been a big storm. However, it was also slow moving for the most part. They walked into the storm... so when it began raining, they had reached the start of the storm, and the 4 men were running entirely through it, while the last guy slowed down and stayed behind it. Wild guess, but hopefully it's right.... wow, I've said that twice. |
