Note, they said it's expected to have it. In other words, they don't really know for sure. Of course it's expected to have it, though. The first Mega Collection should have had it.

They also mention Sonic Fighters (also known as Sonic: The Fighters), another game I'd really like to see in the collection. One they didn't mention, which should also see release, is Segasonic, the arcade game featuring Sonic, Mighty, and Ray. Other games that should be included, as I see it, are Knuckles Chaotix, and Sonic R. Sonic Shuffle and Sonic Pocket Adventures would be nice, though I don't think they'd include them.

If they included Sonic: the Fighters (Sonic Championship), I would buy multiple copies and decorate my house with them. No, seriously.

They better fucking have Sonic CD.

I have no idea why they didn't in the first package, that would have made it a complete GOLD solid Collectors Disc that all gamers should own.

In other words, if this game has Sonic Meets Crap 1-6, and other crappy games, but has Sonic CD, I'm sold.

Hopefully they'll have an option to switch between the soundtracks. The original OST for the Japanese version was awesome, while as the US [competely different] OST was top of the line itself.

The Game Gear ones have already been included in the Sonic Adventure DX for Gamecube and "Sonic Mega Collection +" for PS2/X-Box. Including them in this would be cause to smack somebody in the head.

I hope there is an option to swap between the US and Japanese soundtracks for Sonic CD. I really enjoy both.

Same here, although ... it doesn't work.

But, I'm still able to put it in a CD player and listen to the good ol' soundtrack, it's just been years since I played the game.

Can't wait for this one.

Which one has "Sonic Boom" on it? Is there any other difference other than the FMV intro?

I think "Sonic Boom" is on Sonic R. Man, do I love this game.

Even though I don't have a CG, I'm not worried, Especially since they brought the first Mega collection to all the systems.

Plus, there is a possibility that the Sonic game set for the PsP, is either going to be the Mega Collection 2, a remake/redone of the first Dreamcast Sonic, or Sonic R.

Honestly, I hope its Sonic R.

Sonic R was a fantastic game. The controls were iffy, and the soundtrack... Well let's just say the soundtrack was favoured by Elmo a lot more than it was me

Sonic R had Richard Jaques' work on it. "Supersonic Racing" was the title track

I'm gonna get this game somehow if it is not some kind of rumor, it seems like it will have all those more uncommon games... only thing is, how many can they put on there? Unless they have the source code for most of the games they'd have to program several emulators instaid of one Genesis one. Also, Anya, Sonic Boom was on the US soundtrack if I remember, I had the PC port and that's the song for the video, and for anything I found. I think that "Toot Toot Sonic Warrior" or something like that is the japanese one. And as Kasumi said, Supersonic Racing is what you could say Sonic R's equivalent of it, and if you want to go farther you could say Open Your Heart is Sonic Adventure's Sonic Boom, and so on.

Anya & Others: Trust me, unless there's two versions of it or it's on multiple games, "Sonic Boom" is on Sonic CD.

I never played Sonic R though, but I've heard it's pretty good.

Still though ... this game has Sonic freaking CD!

Anyone remember the really old Sonic anime, that had a few episodes with the planet from Sonic CD? And it had Amy, and everything else that resembled the game.

Also, if anyone didn't know (not a big deal but just to point it out) Sonic CD was the first game to introduce Amy, and Metal Sonic.

I have a funny feeling that Sega could just re-release Sonic CD for the GC and they'd sell 500,000 copies of it. No other games, just Sonic CD.

I think they'll be hard-pressed to fill that disc up, though... although it would be nice to see that Saturn Sonic finally finished.

you mean sonic xtreme, Colleen? =] I'd love to see that.
I never got to play sonic R, but I'd like too. as for sonic CD well... *Darth Setzer has sonic CD for sega CD, so he's not too worried about it. I really need to get around to buying some new systems... *Darth Setzer blows the dust off his playstation, then goes to play some tetris attack on his SNES>

Probably.

What I'd really like to see on this disc, is maybe Streets of Rage 1-3. Now if they did that, AND with Sonic CD? My god, there's Sega Heavon on a disc.

And you never know, they did put Comix Zone on the PS2 / Xbox version of the original Collection, so who knows ...

Actually, they put it in the Gamecube version as well... in the Japanese release. They just took it out of the US release. Same goes for The Ooze. Flicky and Ristar aren't exactly Sonic games, either, so who knows what non-Sonic games they'll throw in this time.
