| I was thinking about a couple of topics today, and I had remembered that I have some crazy anxiety over an enemy in a game. The game was Duke Nukem 3D, and I had a high phobia of the enemy, the Brainsucking green thing with TEETH! Sure it looks harmless on the ground, but when you don't see the blasted thing coming... Horrible pixeled thing was in my face! *Shudders with fear* That's probably something in the past, though. I'm not sure if I'm afraid of such now. Though I wasn't able to get past the first few parts of Eternal Darkness, because my wussiness stepped up to bat and I was creeping out about that insanity meter... Ugh. I need to grow a few guts or something.  So, have any of you guys had that type of feeling with something in a game or two? (edited by Waddler-D on 03-31-04 07:42 PM) |

Most of Eternal Darkness, definately. I don't actually get SCARED scared easily... some of the hardware difficulties made me jump though  Spoiler: "File successfully deleted" When you get mauled by zombies upon entering a room and it tells you to plug a controller into slot 1... good stuff |

| The Redeads in the Zelda for GC scared me a bit the first time with that nasty scream, all high-pitched and out of nowhere. Of course, I was very close to getting hugged by them... Though I hear that Silent Hill is a pretty creepy game from a few people that I have talked to, and I can see why from the pictures that I have seen of the game... |

| Hm...a few parts in the Resident Evil series scared me, and I didn't even play them (I was watching my brother).... Jason (big hockey-mask killer guy)...he had a game on the NES, and he would come out of nowhere and just kill you...that scared me... Any time a game would freeze up out of nowhere, that'd scare the hell out of me since the last sound would keep repeating to no end... If I think of more, I'll post them. |

| All the 3D shooters didn't freak me out. What DID, however, may seem odd... ...ReDeads from LoZ:OOT. I though those little fuckers were everywhere in real life after I played it (I think it was the scream that got to me). The ones in Wind Waker suck. Period. |

| When I was a few years old and I played Little Ninja Brothers for the NES, I got very scared when I got to the part where some woman says she's going to turn me into a meatball. I think I even had nightmares about it. There was also the enemies that were kind of like trees in Dungeon Master. Whenever I'd see the first one behind a door, I'd always get a little scared to open the door. |
