Oh hell yes. It was fun. It was the first time I actually had something like this done to me. -On the way to the dentist, I was a nervous wreck -I waited for an hour -I got called it. -I sit down, and I get numbed -Two huge needles poke into my nerves. Novacaine Occurs -It didn't hurt one bit Basically, You should really brush. But If you happen to get a cavity, don't fret. Fillings aren't as bad as you think (In terms of pain) My dentist is really cool too |

I had a filling when I was little, but I don't remember much about it except that it took forever (I was eight though, five minutes back then was forever too, and an hour was the longest time ever) It was in one of my baby teeth though so I don't have the filling anymore. No fillings at all now I just have a retaining wire behind my front teeth that drives me nuts. |

I tend to... skip brushing too often, at least on the nights. But my teeth is still top-notch quality for some reason. I wonder why thought, maybe becuse it's the stuff I eat. And no, it's not top-notch healthy food either. Hopefully I don't need to do a filling anytime soon... (edited by Kitty Jedi on 04-28-05 01:42 PM) |

I don't brush as much as I should (meaning at least twice daily) but I do brush regularly. I tend to brush in the evening more though as I am always stuck for time in the mornings, and wind up not having time. Thankfully, I don't have bad breath often in the morning except on the mornings after nights I've been drinking...

Hell..i think more food ends up back there than my stomache, I have to floss it constantly |

I had 8 shiny (well, if you can call white shiny) fillings last year thanks to a TON of little cavities that my dentist decided to wait on since they were small and then grew in size. That had to be done over a few visits, of course. Fillings don't really bother me, they're just an inconvenience. Now, when I have my wisdom teeth done on May 10 (mark that date down because you might see me drop RIGHT off the face of the earth for a few days!), then I'll talk about hatred. I think. |

Dude... did you like, never brush for 10 years or something? I got a filling or two when I was a wee, WEE kid, but now... I learned, and brush all the time. I thought others did too. Oh well, you probably have now.

Oh, I did. Constantly. Apparently it was just one of those things, and I'm positive all eight of them didn't have to be done. Trust me, I take care of my teeth. More than I can say of others at school. |

I got a filling in my right second molar on the top. Early morning job too. Got out of there without a problem but some jerk cut me off in a narrow two way and didn't stop so I had to break right in order to miss. Scratch the fsck out of someone's car. So I'm pissed off and the guy, of course, drives off. I go in and tell the people what happened and they came back and said it was the dentist's car (or one of the dentist's I've seen). He was basically in the joking mood of 'you trying to get me back?'...I about died there. It wasn't that bad really and it was an old car and he was about ready to get a new one, so he never pressed anything even after I gave out insurance info and all that. Wasn't a fun experience all told no. :\ But then I've been through a decade of braces too. Yay. |

At least i'm not the only one who tend to skip brushing. And oh, it's mainly in the mornings I brush them. For some reason I just forget to do that before going to bed. :/ Hiryuu: Be glad that it's the kind type of dentist, well. Most Dentists are kind as I know it. Hell, I never knew why people was afraid of the dentist. Never been here. |

I had to get through a few fillings when I was little. Braces, too. I've pretty much had really screwed up teeth all my life up until last year. Given the way my teeth look now, I'm quite satisfied. |

I guess I have 5 or more fillings by now... I drink way too much coke when I'm at some cunning romhacking job, and I brush may teeth way too rarely and don't do it quite well. I wonder whether I still will have something that could be called teeth in 20 years. |

I used to hate brushing my teeth as a kid, I'd throw up every time I put the brush in my teeth, and only did it if there was a small amount of toothpaste on the brush. Nowadays I brush twice a day faultlessly, and even though they're still slightly yellow at the top (aftermath of lack of brushing as a kid, tooth whitener isn't all it's cracked up to be ) I have absolutely no plaque build-up. My dentist changes every time I go

I've had so many fillings over the years I forget how many I've gotten. Some of the really deep ones don't go quite as smoothly as was described in the first post! Most of them are uncomfortable rather than painful, but I've had two or three that feel like someone's sticking a knife into the tooth, all the way around, up the back of my head, and into my brain. I'm not sure why some are like that, but thankfully most aren't. I'm still not looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth out. |
