Perfect Dark, it had alot of replay value when you couldn't play with someone all the time. The storylike would also go further and the Secondary mode on each gun would make things fun.

Perfect Dark is Goldeneye^2. Plus, Goldeneye never had a Co-Op or Counter Agent mode. |

Perfect Dark. I find GoldenEye to be rather... over-rated. Sure it's one of the funnest first-time games out there even to this very day, but when you've been playing it extensively for several months straight, it tends to get a little boring. Perfect Dark, on the other hand... So my vote goes to PD. |

They're both totally tits. Goldeneye was Bond, and was super well balanced. The gameplay was perfect, etc. When PD came out, it started to show some signs of being a teensy bit dated. Perfect Dark had a better campaign and WAY better layout in levels, with the multiplayer having totally drug options. But certain weapons were a little...too powerful (Far-Sight/Laptop gun sentry combo?) |

Goldeneye, to me, was much more engaging in the single-player mode. Yeah, PD was great multi-player, but I have no friends. (Not enough that the multi-player dwarfs the fun I had with GE single-player anyway). |

Perfect Dark... DUH! Those who say Goldeneye either: -Think that Bond license > gameplay -Hate the Perfect Dark single-player campaign (which I tought was better than Goldeneye's) -Ignore the fact that you can actually just turn off the overpowered weapons in the multiplayer game setup Well... that's pretty much it. The only good reason in this list is the second one in my opinion. |

Perfect Dark. I've had much fun with Goldeneye, but even more with Perfect Dark. I don't know how many hours I've spent on that game. I love the single player campaign, there are much details, various objectives, good cinema scenes and a great story. And multiplayer: I will always remember all those days sitting and playing with 3 friends. 4 players was, and is still, so damn fun!

Tough choice here as well I'm going to have to go with Perfect Dark as well though. The reasons for my choice are as follows: :: Overall, I'm better at Perfect Dark than Goldeneye. The latter is the first game I played out of the two, but that was in Multiplayer mode at a friend's house, and pretty much got my clock cleaned The same thing happened after a bit of playing Multiplayer in Perfect Dark, but at least there I had a chance to win instead of nearly none at all |

Well I guess I'll try to be a little more in depth here with my decision. Overall, I think Goldeneye had a better Single Player Campaign. All the levels (minus the Graveyard) were remorable and fun to play, and the music in each of them perfectly fit the mood. Perfect Dark also had a great Single Player, but I only really liked a select few levels to play around in a lot. (Mainly the first 3 Datadyne levels, the Ville, and a few others). I liked the storyline though, as cheesy as it was, Elvis did rock. But Perfect Dark takes my vote for many factors. I'm a fan of basically anything Sci-Fi, and I loved PD's dark setting, dark music, weapons, etc. The weapons were completely insane, and totally fun to mess with. The Laptop Gun? The Slayer? Mines? Each had great secondary functions also. But PD easily takes the cake, because of Multiplayer. Even by yourself, it's completely fun to setup 8 or so Dark Sim's, and take them on. (For some reason, I always had an easier time with Dark Sim's compared to Perfect Sim's). And all the Challenges were great. (Who here actually beat all of them without cheating? Me. ) Multiplayer was just so in depth, with so many levels to choose, so many awesome guns to select, so many awesome gameplay settings, music, characters, everything. It was insane. Last I checked I had well over 100 hours of gameplay for Multiplayer. To this day, I have not seen Multiplayer settings that have impressed me as much as PD did. Halo (yes I'm a fanboy) was great, but it was simple, and just wasn't as flexible as PD was. If I had to choose only one console FPS to have, I'd easily pick PD. |

Perfect Dark is Goldeneye on Steroids. I just unlocked the classic guns and showed those shotgun women the power of rubber bullets! *Endless Klobb shooting noises* In the end, both are good... but Perfect Dark is tougher, and has more replay value. In my opinion. |

They are both excellent games for the n64. They are my favorite games for the n64. I play them a lot but I can't deside which is better. I like them both so much. Both of them have their moments but if I had to choose, it would be a tie.
