| I would prefer to avoid hardcoding the images I have created for use in my homebrewn NES game using asm. However, none of the NES graphics programs seem to support any kind of standard image format. The image i have is currently in gif format, but could be converted to jpg, png, bitmap or most any other standard format. It contains only 4 colors as to comply with the limitations of the NES counsel (Of course). My goal is to have it stored in .chr format so that I can include it within my coding via referencing the file. This would be very helpful, as hardcoding each individual pixel or even recreating it within an editor from the already made images would be very tedious. So if anyone knows of a way to convert images into a format usable by the NES, please let me know. | |||

| YY-Chr allows importing BMP files. It's Paste Snapshot in the File menu. (edited by Smallhacker on 04-14-05 05:18 AM) |
