Has anyone had any dreams latey where the swore they got up and was doing something and then after what seemed like hours to wake up an find that you never even got the first time. If so what do that say for the power of the brain to make the body think it is doing some think when it is not really moveing at all.

i think he means that in his dream, he "woke up", and went about his business, then later woke up (for real) and realized they he dreamed of dreaming and woke after 'waking'.

Actually I think he means how come the human mind can sometimes give you the illusion in your dreams that you are in some place (that you later realize you have never seen before) or the illusion of movement when you are in fact static. I don't know how this fits this forum, but oh well.

This is going to sound really, really odd, but I can consiously control my dreams.

Let me explain, as I'm sure it's almost impossible to believe.

Many times when I'm dreaming, I'll realize its a dream and use it to my advantage to change things the way I want. I'll give myself a certain ability or take me somewhere... it's weird really.

I don't have them often, can't remember the last time I did, but when I have a nightmare, I'm able to tell myself it's a dream and that it's fake. I will then repeatedly tell myself to wake up and it works. I wake up.

It would be extremely hard to explain what I can really do within my dreams, as often I lose the memory of what I dreamt. But I can assure you that there's gotta be some kind of hidden potential within all this.

Remote viewing? Psychics? I tell you what; I believe there are some real occurances of this, but many are fake. You ever seen that pet psychic chick? She's amazing... that's gotta be real. Eventually, I hope humans will be able to someday harness these... abilities.

I do things involuntarily at times. I commonly experience convulsions when I am half-asleep. I would unintentionally kick or jerk my head around for no reason.
When I am deep in thought, I can hypnotise myself into my own reality.

You can try doing the magnetic fingertips. Lock your arms out in front of you and put your hands together with both your index fingers sticking straight out like you're holding a gun. Spreaad the two apart and stare into the space between them. Don't think about the outside world and concentrate. You'll slowly feel your fingers pulling towards eachother. Very odd and fun to try!

Another interesting trick to try is the balloon and the pail. Lock your arms out without resting your hands on a surface; clentch your hands into fists, face your left palm down and your right palm up. Close your eyes and relax your left hand. Relax, then tense up your right fist. Imagine holding a pail of water in your right hand and someone tying a dozen balloons on your left wrist. Concentrate and let your body relax. After a few minutes without moving your arms, open your eyes and see what happened.

A very freaky thing to try is the steel bar. Close your eyes, cletch your hands together and make both your forearms touch while locking your arms. Imagine your arms melting into one large steel bar and nothing can break it. Keep your fists clutched but don't tense up too much. You'll feel your arms pulling against eachother and a sort of melding feeling. You feel as if you can hold up anything.

I've done the other two many a time before, but this was the first time i've heard of the balloon/pail thing. So I try it, naturally.

Fucked up really; my left arm decided to actually RAISE a bit and my right arm sank lower by about a foot. I didn't even feel them move. Creepy what you can do if you set your mind on it...
