Wow. How did you get the OW map to be rainy? Are there enough animated entries for it? Or did you use layer 1?

There was barely enough space for the rain, considering the ocean takes up 4 of the 8 animated tiles. The rain uses the other 4. Yup, it's on layer 1. I placed the rain over the spare level tiles, spare H and V paths, and the spare exit tiles, so i used those instead of the regular layer 1 tiles. Also, because that map is where Bowser's Valley was, there's thunder. Remember to keep checking in the first post of this thread for the latest updates.

Rain is rarely a good idea. The view gets screwed. Other then that it looks so cool!

Looks pretty damn awesome. It might be fun to see some of the extra levels be created by forum members, though. I could probably make a decent Mario 1 level easily. It'd be fun.

I'm gonna have to steal that rain idea, if you don't mind.

I'm afraid I will need to as well. The idea is sweet, and I will be able to use it well.

I'll have to steal that rain idea too. What? It's been hot all day. I need to cool off. But anyway, it's going to be very interesting to see what the OW looks like with all the rain and thunder. (edited by Sketchie on 04-19-05 10:56 AM) (edited by Sketchie on 04-19-05 10:57 AM) |

Yeah, sure guys go ahead and take it. Let me know if you're having any trouble with it. Here's another tip: use the diagonal waterfall to make snow. You'll have to slightly edit the GFX for it, but you only need to edit one 8x8 tile, which is shifted to form the animation.

My ONLY gripe is the red desert... not a very good color... Lord this has progressed a long way. |

question: will you make the looping castles from SMB? (like 7-4 , 8-4) |

well in world 8-4, i pasted the level after itself again and again, until you eventually hit the teleport block at the end of the last screen. in w4-4 and w7-4, i used right and wrong blocks along with teleport blocks. Most of my updates, from now on, will be made at the Ice Board. (edited by peter_ac on 04-25-05 02:40 AM) (edited by peter_ac on 04-25-05 02:40 AM) |

That's a pretty creative idea...when you take the correct path, you're teleported to the new part of the level, and if not, you just repeat it. Cool idea! |
