| I'm introducing three new characters this time. They're at an average difficulty level, I'd say. Note that they always fight as a team, so they can kind of count as one fighter...sort of. Anyways, you won't need to use multiple characters of your own to beat them. Just don't underestimate them, and good luck! -------- It was a peaceful, quiet spring day. Out in the fields, the sun shone bright over the flat plains, the few small trees casting light shadows over the grass. In the distance were a few little dark clouds, which could bring a bit of rain later. Farther away from these plains was a deep creek with an old, rickety wooden bridge over it, about 100 feet long. This creek separated three short reptilian figures from the plains. The tallest was no more than four and a half feet, and the shortest could have been three and a half. They walked toward the bridge quite slowly, except for the smallest one, which walked at a surprisingly fast rate. Suddenly, a loud yell coming from the black, medium-sized one in the middle broke the silence. Spiky: Ah! A bee! A bee! Run, it's a bee! Aaahaaa... The small red one stepped forward and swatted at a fly, which was buzzing harmlessly nearby. Spaky: Relax, it's just a fly! Why do you always worry about little things like that? Spiky: Huh, a fly? THAT'S EVEN WORSE!!! Flies are gross and have big eyes and bite I think... The third one, the tallest and green colored one, walked forward calmly. Speeky: It's only a fly, Spiky, ignore it. It doesn't bite. Now c'mon, guys, we need to get to the battle arena, we've got seats reserved for tomorrow! Spaky, how far does the map say we are from it? Spaky felt around in his non-existent cartoony pockets, and then stopped suddenly when he felt nothing. Spaky: Uh, oh, right, about that, um... Speeky groaned. He was used to groaning with Spaky around. Speeky: What happened? Spaky: Well, when we were passing that pond a few miles back, a bullfrog was giving this funny look - Spiky: A bullfrog? Spaky: Yeah, and so I - I - I - Speeky: What did you do?! Spaky: I balled up the map and threw it at 'im. It was cool! I taught him not to mess with me! Spiky: Wait, does this mean we don't have a map? And that means...that means we're lost! Speeky: We're not lost, we're just...oh wait, no, we are lost. No, don't panic now! Spiky: WE'RE LOST!!! Now we have to be hermits! And live in caves! And eat squirrels! Spiky grabbed Spaky by the shoulders and shook him. Spiky: I don't want to eat squirrels, Spaky! What'll we do?! Spaky nervously let himself loose and edged away. Spaky: Why don't we just ask that person for directions? He pointed in the opposite direction of the bridge, where someone was coming over the crest of a hill. Spiky: What? You mean that shadowy fellow? Are they alone? Spaky: Who cares? We want to get to the arena in time for the match, right? Let's ask! Speeky: I don't know, Spaky, these parts are strange to us... Spaky: Aw, c'mon, it's not like we'll end up fighting them later or something. Besides, we can take anyone! Speeky: Focus, Spaky. Fine, we'll ask them. To the untrained eye it would seem that at that instant Spaky disappeared in a cloud of dust. Actually, he had just run over to the person at a super-fast speed, and arrived at his destination a few milliseconds after Speeky had finished his sentence, give or take. Speeky: Hey! You! With the face! Do you know where the Sim Battle Arena is? He danced around impatiently, waiting for an answer... |

| Dejan was walking by himself through the woods, having just finished a task for an old friend. He was marveling over the new sword he had been given by his friend when suddenly he was greeted by a rather peculiar looking lizard he had never seen. Dejan : Hi. Yes i do know where it is, and i can take you there if you'd like. it's a little confusing to give directions in these woods. Dejan eyed the lizard, and spotted 2 off in the distance. He was sure that they were going to enter a match at the arena. Dejan : You look like a band of fighters. I'll make you a deal, battle me and if you win i'll give you something special. What do you say? |

| Spiky and Speeky stood off in the distance, watching Spaky and Dejan talk. Spiky: Think he'll come back with the directions? Speeky: Of course he will. Um, yeah, I'm sure of it. | Spaky looked off into the air past Dejan, with his finger on his lip. Spaky: Well, I don't knoooowwww...but if you insist! He said this last part very fast, and before the sentence registered to Dejan, Spaky had run a circle and a half around him, stopped behind him, jumped into the air and kicked him, landed, and did a backflip through the air over Dejan's head and landed back into his original spot with his arms crossed. Spaky looked impressed with himself. Spaky: C'mon! Can you do anything cool? Back near the bridge, Spiky and Speeky quickly made their way the fight. Speeky: Oh no. I should have seen this coming. Spiky: Does this mean we have to fight? Speeky: Hopefully not. I'll try to break it up. With any luck the poor guy Spaky's beating up won't be too offended...I hope he didn't for any reason call Spaky slow. Man, that would get him steamed. They would arrive after Dejan had time to pull of his first move, if he did anything. |

| OOC: This looks interesting... CheesePie, how 'bout us two vs your 3 characters? I did that with Jarukoth, he thought it was cool, but if you don't like the idea feel free to tell me in an OOC. "Get back here, you foolish lizards," a voice behind Speeky and Spiky boom at them. Standing behind the two other lizards is a man in SUPER futuristic armor (as in, gizmo-city, snazz-o-rama armor). None of his body is visible, and he carries no weapons. His name... Kaz, the Cosmic Warrior. "Schwa has been here... I will find him, and you will tell me where he is. Speak up or else." His voice is dark and mysterious, enough to stop a child scared in his tracks. |

| Hah ha! Join in, the more the merrier! ---- The two skidded to a halt and whipped around. Spiky: Gah! Who's this person, Speeky?! Speeky (to Spiky): I haven't seen him before. Do you know who Schwa is? The guy he mentioned? Spiky: Uh...doesn't he hang around the battle arena? He's a judge or something... Speeky: Oh, right. We haven't seen him, guy who looks very angry. And futuristic. Speeky looked around and saw Spaky flip over Dejan's head and pose. Speeky: C-could you excuse us for a second? SPAKY! Speeky ran off toward Spaky, while Spiky stayed behind and looked off to the side of Kaz nervously, twiddling his thumbs. Spiky: Umm...hi. |

| Kaz faces Spiky, and switches to an offensive stance. "You are pathetic. I'll wipe you all out, then catch up to Schwa later. Switch to Battle Mode." At this, the eyes on Kaz's armor flash yellow for a moment. Kaz has entered Battle Mode. "A humanoid lizard... Hmhm, this round is going to be a fun maul." Kaz makes the 'Bring it on' gesture with his hand... Master Meter = 80 points. OOC: The Master Meter is a complex strategy Kaz uses. It starts at 80 points. I highly suggest reading Kaz's Profile in the Profiles section for info on how it works. |

| Dejan, stunned by the blow from that Spaky delivered to him. He quickly jumped up to notice this new stranger joining into the battle. Dejan : This shoudl be fun. Dejan held his sword high into the air over his head. He gripped the hilt with both hands, and suddenly the sky grew dark. The air became very cold, and the wind picked up considerably. He muttered a small spell, and there was a bright flash as a lightning bolt struck his sword. He then swung the blade down, sending out a ring of lightning bolts away from him. The ring extended far beyond the distanec that even the arthest fighter from him was. Dejan : Is that cool enough for you? |

| "Well, well...it seems the plains aren't so dull...at least for the moment." The words seem to cut through the fighting to the ears of the combatants. A figure stands between the two melees. Cloaked in dark blue, a bit under six foot, face completely covered. A tassle of white hair hangs out from the cloak's facial opening. The figure stands facing in a direction perpendicular to the line that joins the fights. "Three different specie of lizardmen, a young swordsman, and an irritable spaceman. Seems the lizardmen are acquainted...I'm wondering...how on earth did the violence break out this time...?" The figure walks towards the creek, bends down, cups his hands, dips them in, and promptly pulls them out. "Mine run-off. A wonder anything's alive in there." He turns about, his head low enough that his face remains hidden...the one tuft of white hair still in plain sight. "I shall watch...and will place my comments as I see fit...regardless how you may take them. And...try to keep your attacks off...particuarly you, spaceman...else I may...react." The cloaked figure still looks on...without actually looking towards either bout. |

| OOC: So Spiky must be the Power-type character of the lot. Hmmm... Kaz holds his arms up to block the overhead tail, but even though he blocked the attack was still pretty strong. "So you ARE a fighter. Hmhm... HIA!!" On 'HIA', the afterburner in Kaz's suit activates! He lunges forward with the speed of a fighter jet, to strike Spiky fist first in his infamous Rocket Tackle attack. Master Meter = 73 + 12 if attack connects. |

| Spiky: Aaaah!!! Spiky tactlessly turned tail and ran away from Kaz, and was knocked by his fist in the back of the head. The force caused him to flip over forward, with his tail swinging about wildly. There is a chance that it could have hit Kaz from below. After this he stood back up, turned around, and clenched his fists. Spiky: Alright, now I'm angry... There was no tone of anger audible in his voice whatsoever. Spiky ran at Kaz, stopped at half of the distance to him, and swung his tail around in a counter-clockwise motion. The momentum from his heavy spikes caused Spiky to continue spinning, transforming himself into a lethal black tornado! From this position, he quickly edged his way toward Kaz, and would spin back at him again if he were deflected once. Speeky heard Spiky yelp from Kaz's Rocket Tackle, and turned around. Speeky: Oh, for crying out loud... Spaky, you had better be leaving that swordsman alone when I get back, I've got to go help Spiky! Speeky thought that Spaky could handle himself, and ran back over to Spiky. He arrived when Spiky started his tornado spin. Speeky: You, sir, did you pick a fight with Spiky? I'll end this. Waiting until after Spiky finished his move once (whether it was deflected or not), Speeky made an amazing leap at Kaz and made to kick him with both of his feet. | 12 points added to the Master Meter. The wild tail misses Kaz, but it's close. He has to twist to avoid it. Then, when the Tornado attack begins, Kaz's afterburner flares up again, and he takes to the air to avoid Spiky's ground-based attack-- only to be intercepted by Speeky, which knocks Kaz out of the sky. Kaz lands on his feet and crouches to land properly. "Do you think I am weak!? I can fight both of you at the same time. Just watch!" Kaz brings out two weapons; in his right hand he holds a perfect steel sphere, and in his left hand he holds something like a purple glob of glowing matter surrounded by a steel sphere wireframe. First he throws the regular sphere at the ground in front of Spiky-- where it splits into a large barrage of razor sharp rings! Though the rings are not very powerful, there are a lot of them. He then takes the sphere in his left hand, and throws it upwards. It then begins hovering slow circles around Kaz, the purple core pulsing every two seconds. Master Meter = 78 + 4 for every ring that hits. |

| [Dejan stumbles backwards as the lizard in bashing him in the face. He quickly regains his footing. He jumps into the air, and upon reaching the apex of his jump, begins to glow. he then begins to fall head first at the ground. He grips The lizard very tightly, and chants a spell.] Dejan : You are in for a very rough ride. [Dejan and Spaky slam into the ground, they create a crater about 50 feet wide and 50 feet deep.] |

| Spaky staggers up from the attack and wobbles around dizzily. Spaky: WaAaAaAa... that was wicked! After shaking his head from side to side a few times in a fast motion, he did a back flip and prepared to charge again. Spaky: All right, buddy, let's go! Yaaaaah! Spaky ran in super fast circles around Dejan, aided by the curvature of the crater, and created a whirlwind of dust around him. Spaky's movement was so fast, he appeared to be a solid red ring around Dejan, and if Dejan were to try to track Spaky, he would be bound to get dizzy for a while. After a few seconds of doing this, Spaky unexpectedly jumped up and delivered a flip-kick into Dejan's head, then stumbled backward a bit from his own dizziness, after which he ran to the top of the crater and raspberried Dejan. Spaky: Try to catch me, slowmo! Back with Kaz, Spiky, and Speeky. Spiky stopped spinning when he could tell that his attack missed. He turned, grabbed his head to steady it, and faced Kaz. Spiky: What's that, a metal ball? I'm NOT afraid of this! It hit the ground and broke into a bunch of razors, which flew at Spiky menacingly. He yelped. Before the razors got a chance to hit Spiky, Speeky jumped in the way and puffed out into a huge, round ball! He bounced slowly through the air, perfectly shielding Spiky, and four razors connected to him and were deflected. He didn't seem to take much damage from them. After bounding out of the way, he deflated back to his original form and came to Spiky's side. Spiky: Whoa, Speeky, I didn't know you were over here! Speeky: Yeah, I thought you |

| The white tassle of hair dances about in the wind from Spaky's mad dashing. The cloaked figure lightly kicks a small rock on the ground next to his foot. It travels 2 feet...and falls into the crater. It tumbles down the side, picking up speed, and stops after tapping Dejan in the foot. "Careful...that's kinda close...." The hood of the cloak shifts some, towards Kaz and them, as the Green Bullet attack is executed. A sleeve shifts...a hand comes out...this time in plain sight...the skin is jett black. Its appearance seems disrupted some, as if through a mirage, but only for a split second. Anyone in the area with sensitivity to the Mystical Arts felt the local area's magickal balance shift in the cloaked figures general direction. "Don't stop on my account. Please...continue." |

| OOC: Just to warn you (so you don't think I broke my own rules), points still get added to the Master Meter if the attack hits but is blocked, however the amount is cut in half. 8 points added to the Master Meter. Kaz now does something completely unexpected-- he activates his afterburners and flies toward the Green Bullet attack, spinning in the process, for an advanced Rocket Tackle! The two fighters, at this rate, should collide at a very high speed, and the opposing forces should greatly damage both fighers! But Kaz doesn't stop there-- he executes a combo. Taking out another steel sphere while flying backward, he chucks it at the ground to launch another disk flurry, THEN he holds his right fist out at Spiky, which breaks off the armor and flies at him propelled by a mini afterburner. All this... before landing on the ground on his back. (The fist returns to his arm no matter what happens.) OR, if the Rocket Tackle ended up missing Speeky in midair, his combo would've never been executed and he would instead land on his feet behind Speeky and right in front of Spiky. Master Meter = 79 + 12 for each normal hit and +4 for each razor hit. OOC: You may think it's a bit much for Kaz to attack 3 times in one turn, but remember that Kaz's offensive strategy is all about combos. |

| Speeky saw Kaz coming right at him through the air, and was too surprised to move out of the way in time, so instead he started spinning forward as fast as he could. The attack hit him, and he bounced to the ground. Since he was spinning forward, he was launched at Kaz again when he touched land, but pulled out of his ball and landed upright on the ground. Then the razors came at him. He tried to jump out of the way, but was cut by two of them in the process, which made him tumble over halfway through. As he was pulling himself up, he barely saw the fist coming at him in time to puff out again and bounce it away, still taking damage from it though. Speeky seemed to have a much higher defense when he was puffed with air. Speeky: What a combo...Spiky, you see that floating purple thing? Spiky: Uh...yeah? Speeky: I don't trust it. You attack that; I'll take on this grumpy fellow. Spiky nodded his consent, and waited until the metal sphere hovered into range to make a mighty upward swipe with his tail. The way the three were standing, Speeky was to the left of Kaz and Spiky was to the right, and Kaz was closest to the steep edge of the creek. Speeky moved in front of Kaz, took a moment to suck in a bunch of air, and then blew a strong gust of wind at him, with the hopes of blowing him off the cliff. Falling off would be fatal, and would probably take someone out for the rest of the fight... |

| 26 points added to the Master Meter. Master Meter = 105! FULL POWER!! OOC: When the Master Meter hits the 100 mark, Kaz goes into Full Power. Beware!! Suddenly, right when Spiky and Speeky are about to make their attacks, Kaz starts glowing bright white! "Ha ha ha... Ah ha ha HA!!" Kaz laughs as he hits Full Power. As he glows, his armor morphs and completely changes shape; in 5 seconds he looks sleeker, sharper, and snazzier (hard to explain exactly). Now he looks more like a futuristic alien ninja than a spaceman! And likewise, ALL his stats are better... for a while. Spiky's tail smashes into the orbiting orb, but first it fires a few energy bolts at Spiky... When the tail hits, the orb is destroyed. The bolts do small damage, but can still cause a foe to flinch if moving. And when Speeky blows air at HyperKaz, the air starts to blow him back, but he leaps in the air and activates the afterburner, which propels him faster than the air can blow him away. He turns it into a Rocket Tackle aimed at Speeky, which does 60% more damage than before if it hits! Either way, HyperKaz lands behind them both and faces them. He speaks, and his voice sounds less like a bionic machine and more like a bionic machine-snake/badger hybrid, whatever that sounds like. "Surprised at my new form? Hmhm... I will tell you the secret. You foolish lizards have fallen into the trap of letting yourselves be hit too many times! For each hit you take, I store more energy for the transformation, until I have enough to morph... into HyperKaz! It is your own faults that you have released such a mighty foe against yourselves... and NOW, you must deal with it. So have at me, and see how you fare!" HyperKaz's challenge is compelling, but it's all up to the two Lizard Bros. for who attacks first. Master Meter = Full Power for 5 turns. |
