| Taken from another board "Sir Allan Napier McNab was elected MP for Wentworth in 1830. He was Speaker of the Upper Canada Legislative Assembly in 1840. He was elected to the new Parliament of the united Province of Canada in 1841 for Hamilton, elected Speaker in 1844. In 1848 he was Leader of the conservative Opposition. In 1854 he became premier of the province of Canada, as head of the McNab - Morin ministry, which in 1855 became the McNab - Tache ministry, and continued until May 1856. He sat as Hamilton's MP until 1857. He was then elected to the Legislative Council (we briefly elected our upper house), and was elected Speaker of the Legislative Council. He died in 1862. His daughter Sophia Mary McNab married Sir William Coutts Keppel, then Viscount Bury, the future 7th Earl of Albemarle, on 15 November 1855 at Dundurn, Saskatchewan, Canada. Through her marriage, she gained the title of Countess of Albemarle on 21 February 1891. (Sir William Coutts Keppel, 7th Earl of Albemarle was born on 15 April 1832 at London, England. He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1848 in the service of the Scots Guards. He was styled as Viscount Bury between 1851 and 1891. He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to Lord Frederick Fitz-Clarence in 1853. In 1854 he came to Canada as Superintendant for Indian Affairs for Canada from 1854 and 1856. While here, the 23-year-old aristocrat met and married the prime minister's daughter. Returning to Britain, he was M.P. for Norwich between 1857 and 1859. He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1859. He held the office of Treasurer of the Queen's Household between 1859 and 1866. He was M.P. for Wick Burghs between 1860 and 1865. He was M.P. for Berwick between 1868 and 1874. He held the office of Under-Secretary for War in 1878. On 13 April 1879 he became a Roman Catholic. He held the office of Volunteer Aide-de-Camp to the Queen in 1881. He succeeded to the title of 7th Earl of Albemarle [E., 1697] on 21 February 1891. He died on 28 August 1894 at age 62.) Their son (Sir Allan's grandson), Lt. Col. Hon. George KEPPEL was born on 14 Oct 1865. Lt. Col. George KEPPEL and Alice Frederica EDMONSTONE were married on 1 Jun 1891 in St. George, Hanover Square, London. He fought in the First World War, and was Colonel commanding of the 2nd/5th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry between 1917 and 1918. He was Aide-de-Camp of the Personal Staff in 1919. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Reserve Officers. He died on 22 Nov 1947. (Alice Frederica EDMONSTONE was born in 1869 in Duntreath Castle, Loch Lomond, Scotland. She was the famed royal mistress Alice Keppel, who was the last love of the Prince of Wales's great-great-grandfather, Edward VII. She died on 11 Sep 1947 in Villa Bellosquardo, near Firenze, Italy.) Their daughter (Sir Allan's great-granddaughter) Sonia Rosemary KEPPEL was born on 24 May 1900. She married Roland Calvert CUBITT in 1920. She was invested as a Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.). She wrote the book The Sovereign Lady. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1959. She died on 16 Aug 1986. (Roland Calvert CUBITT, 3rd Baron Ashcombe, (whose forebear, the builder Thomas Cubitt, had made a fortune constructing much of London's West End for the Grosvenor family) was born on 26 Jan 1899 in London. Roland and Sonia were married on 16 Nov 1920 in Guard's Chapel, Wellington Barracks, St. George Hanover Square. They were divorced in 1947. He died in 1962.) Their daughter (Sir Allan's great-great-granddaughter) Rosalind Maud CUBITT was born on 11 Aug 1921 in 16 Grosvenor Street, London. She married Major Bruce Middleton Hope SHAND in 1946. She died in 1994. (Major Bruce Middleton Hope SHAND was born on 22 Jan 1917, a British Army officer turned wine merchant. He and Rosalind were married on 2 Jan 1946 in St. Paul's Knightsbridge.) Their daughter (Sir Allan's great-great-great-granddaughter) Camilla Rosemary Shand was born on 17 July 1947." Just something for you Brits over in England to ponder. Your new Queen is a Colonial.  |

| I really can't be bothered to kick up a fuss about it. As far as I'm concerned, it's a love issue and if they're happy together then good for them. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another marriage and they can do what they like. Even if I did have a problem, the royal family does not command any power over us anymore, and there really is no reason to be concerned. | No, you do not automatically have Queen There's litterally tonnes of law that dictate how heirs are selected, if we have a King and Queen or if we have a King and Queen Consort or a Queen and a consort. Besides, I don't honestly think Charles and Camilla even expect to become king and queen. Even if they did, I'd imagine there'd be so many arguements before a decision is made. One thing to note however, is that the very religious laws that dictate divorce in this country were set up by King Henry VIII because under Catholicism he couldn't divorce two of his wives. Basically he ethnically cleansed the country and set up the Church of England. What an arsehole  |

| Don't worry, we hate our monarchy too. They're like a real-life soap opera. Except worse. By the way, if you trace family lines far enough back, we're all from Eygpt or something like that. So whatever. It's not like Camilla is even close to being Canadian these days. Thankfully for you guys, you can distance yourself from our little inbreeding experiment we've got going on over here. What, didn't you know that's what it was? Why else would we pay tax for it? By the way, the real King of England lives in Australia. True. I won't get into details but there's this whole mess up about bastard sons and non-bastard sons and abdications or something like that, and our real king lives in Australia.
