For those with hopes about new programs by me... Time to divide those hopes by around 10. I was working on one program and planning on one or two more... (I hinted about the WIP one in another thread, but everyone misunderstood it and spammed the thread to death.)

The bad news? Well, appearently, my computer blew up or something. Unless the data on it can be saved, I will lose all of my source code and such. That will mean:
1) Very long time until I can rebuild my libraries and work on the programs again
2) I will have to start from scratch on the program I was working on. That, combined with my loss of notes, is a painful thing...
3) My old sources will disappear, which means that I won't be able to update my old programs without rewriting them.

Also, if you want to contact me, do it through the PM system or on MSN. I haven't got AIM or ICQ on this computer.

Ouch.
What exactly happened to your PC? If you just garbaged the partition table (like my windows did when I tried to delete an inaccessible linux partition through the control panel) I could give you a tool that restores it, otherwise... I dunno.

As described by my thread in Hardware/Software, it won't start up. Also, I haven't got the devices needed to plug the HD in to the laptop I'm currently using, which means that I can't fix the problem myself, unless it suddenly starts working again by itself.

If one of those programs you were making (what you told me you might make) is the program that changes mario's tilemap, i've done a HUGE amount of research on it. Finally Mario can use 3 different heads for his walking frames! Well anyway i can give you all my notes on that. I've nearly uncovered everything in that whole area, so just let me know when (if) you need my notes.

That's the program, yes. However, losing the notes isn't the end of the ENTIRE world... As long as the ROM location thread isn't deleted or anything...

Nasty. Maybe you should ask for help in HW/SW. (Be specific, though - does it actually not turn on, or will it just not start Windows?) If the HD wasn't damaged physically, you can probably recover the files as long as you haven't formatted or anything.
