I'm enjoying it so far, but one question...was the keyhole exit in Cave House left there from testing? Or are you being nice and giving us a freebie? ;D

Edit: After playing the rest of the level, that question looks silly. Vanilla Dome flashback?

As much as I'd love to play your incredibly well-done hack, there's a problem (at least for me). When I beat the first level, the overworld animation for the paths becomes completely messed up. When I checked your overworld (thanks for not locking your hack), all of the tiles that would normally be paths have been replaced by very random bits and pieces of...stuff... Can you fix this? (if it's not a problem with the patch, then can somebody help me out?)

are you increasing the game speed while using zsnes? that's what usually causes it. It's not a problem in ZTaimat(did i spell it right?)'s IPS patch.

i hope my comments won't sound too harsh, but here ya go:

-the levels have a lot of glitches.
-the levels are a bit empty (bad level design =/) and not fun at all.
-some levels (that second part of Iggy's Castle for example) are annoying as hell.
-the levels look too much like SMW.
-that Genesis album "Selling England by the Pound" has only one friggin' good song! The rest of the tracks are very bad, i thought it would be a classic of prog rock, but, come on, Peter Gabriel has a lot of talent, he could have made it at least better than the Foxtrot album. That's why i prefer Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree.
-some of the gfx changes don't look too nice (the midway point, the goal point, etc etc).
-there's no new level ideas.

But i'm sure you can improve a lot mate, your overworld was very well done, congrats

If it's the Wooden Steak, Sorry, run and duck to go under it (I forgot to fix that, being to giddy uploading my hack) If its after that, note the reflecting fireball going through the floor? go down.

Those arn't pieces of "...stuff..." Those are my own "path layout" tiles!
This way, I don't have to worry about the annoying old SMW tiles...

About the hack, I think the overworld looks pretty snazzy. It could use some work (especially on the submaps, they're too square), but otherwise, it looks good. It would be nice to have some level screenshots, too.

Aargh!!! The IPS patch still doesn't work properly for me. I'm not increasing the game speed while using ZSNES, and I can't figure out why it's not working. The levels work fine, but the overworld tiles are just all messed up. And I don't mean to sound annoying or mean, but the overworld paths on my rom are just random bits of colour (think something pixeled out, like Janet Jackson should have been). If you meant your paths to be just random bits of colour, then I'm fine with that, but if they're meant to look like the paths from every single other hack I've seen, someone needs to make a new IPS patch for me.....please? I really want to play this......

i liked the midway point idea, it's similar to the one i use in Mario Legends but i use a different gfx for the midway point. Good job. it looks much better than the ordinary SMW tape, which is used in almost all hacks.

1) you can still play through the entire game whether the OW works or not.
2) It happened to me (the CREATOR) to... but it looks right after saving and restarting the game.

P.S. In case you hadn't noticed, the 'Dragon Kingdom' and any fort you find are the only places you can save after all castles, Houses and switches are passed.

I tried it, but there are a lot of glitches. Especially in the Bump Cave. Yoshi's head turns into Podoboo chunks! When I open a new path, it's all glitchy and stuff. In the Cargo Ship level, the boxes act really weird. Also, the ghost houses are the same as in SMW.

My favorite level is the Tidal Cave.
