2 years ago my parents divorced. My dad's new girlfriend hates us. my mom, my brothers and my sister. it just rips me up inside. to make matters worse, my dad quit smoking 1 year ago. he had a heart attack though. after that, he started doing drugs but quickly quit. he then had another heart attack. now he's smoking again.  *sniff* (edited by Koopa Myster on 04-04-05 10:47 AM) |

| Do you think that there is a way that you could sit down, along with your siblings, and have a talk with your father, without the girlfriend or anyone else around? Hopefully, if you really feel that this new girlfriend will not work well in your family, you should tell your dad. With kids, its usually (well, it should be) a packaged deal. Like the father, like the kids. But it seems that its rare these days. I would really like to see my dad find someone, but I doubt that'll happen, since he works two jobs and takes care of a lot of animals, and his mother. What bothers me though, is that when my mom left, she went to live in PR, and that was back in 1997. The last card/letter she sent to dad (she says that I haven't written, but I have, but I might have the wrong addy), was asking him for money. Urg, it just pisses me off, especially in the manner that she left. But whatever. |

| Be happy that your dad didn't blame it all on you and beat you every time you did something remotely wrong. Do what Anya said, talk with your father about it. At least you have that option, so take it and if chances are good, you'll all get a better girlfriend for your dad.  |
