"The Cog".
Two minutes long. Costs like a smaller collection of pacific sovereign states to air on television. Took in excess of 350606 takes. Uses *no* special effects whatsoever (one instance of displacement of central gravity near the start, but that's a trick and not a special effect), is shot in one take with one camera.

Go. See. It. Now.

Yeah, I saw this when I was browsing Snopes. They've got a little article on it somewhere. It's pretty impressive.

Yes, a nice advertisement for the quicktime plugin.

I'll pass. .mov files stink anyway (.avi, .mpeg, whatever, it's better)

Yes, we wouldn't want standard file formats, would we. (QuickTime doesn't have its own file format, it uses the MPEG4 standard file format. WMP doesn't support this, for reasons unknown to mankind. It may be possible to download the movie or copy this link's URL and view it in competent media players like VLC and mplayer, but I haven't tried.) Edit: I was mistaken; The movie uses an odd movie format and the Sorenson codec. I've had my run-ins with Sorenson even using QT so I can only hope that VLC and mplayer support it.

The commercial, though old, is amazing.

Mmm, yes... but I wish my Quicktime installation wasn't messed up. I had to watch that on another computer...

Oh well, I reinstall Quicktime later one.

Nice commercial, but thoose wheels really looks like they break laws of physics... still impressing.

No matter how many times I see this, it's still awesome.

I hope whoever was responsible for this got a nice healthy bonus for it.

That was... Cool. It seemed like it didn't really need to be that long, though.

Holy frack. Someone must have been incredibly bored. I couldn't tell quite what happened at a few parts there. Frickin awesome though. I like how at some points, it looks like it didn't work but then it does something unexpected.
