| OOC: Schwa asked for a battle and only he can participate, but anyone can be a spectator if only they don't go too crazy and don't interfere with the battle. Comments from the spectators are welcome as long as they don't lose the flow of the battle. You may use any character of your choice, Schwa. ----------------- William stepped in the arena, a colliseum of sorts that had no decoration in the middle. The spectator seats were empty right now, but once the fight has been started hopefully there would be more action in the stands. The stands and the battle arena were blocked off by an indestructable barrier, restricting any spectator involvment in the battle. William took his crystal, still without a name, and threw it in the middle of the stadium. The crystal emitted a light, and in a flash the arena changed from a flat dirt land to a technological paradise. The arena had some floating platforms, computer systems, and also held in the middle a huge lens, which was all decoration. The crystal launched back into William's hand, which he then tied around his neck. He gazed at the other side of the metal-plated arena, awaiting for his requester to walk in the arena. |

| OOC: Glad to finally battle you, at long last, cpubasic13. Good luck. "Target spotted, Schwa. But it's quite interesting..." "Interesting how?" "It seems he's waiting for you. He's got an entire colosseum waiting! It's complete with floating platforms and all kinds of gizmos and gadgets. Schwa thinks that over for a moment. "That IS interesting! I'll intercept him. Schwa en route to attack!" After that exchange between telepathic messages, Schwa closes in on the telepathic ping Allaura has coordinated on his mental map: a huge computer-colosseum arena. Soon, Schwa sees it in the distance from the air. A blue streak of ether jets across the sky, toward the colosseum. Soon, a figure is visible from the arena below... a figure in futuristic armor, riding on a crystal disc, and, of course, emitting brilliant blue ether. The figure circles down and lands, then steps off the disc. With a wave of his hand, both the armor and disc disintegrate and exit the Material Plane. The figure before William is a male teen in white, loose clothes and wearing a black blindfold. Surprisingly, the blindfold allows him to see better, not worse. "Hello, William. I am Schwa the Psi Warrior. Listen, intelligence at Crystal Psipalace thinks that you may be affiliated with the Leaping Lobster Cult. I have come to check if that's true or not. Start talking, will ya?" Schwa secretly begins reading William's mind using his Psi abilities. He's trying to figure out for SURE if William is with the Cult or not. OOC: As you can see, my battle style centers around giving a central plot to each battle. I like to make others think hard. Again, good luck... |

| William: "Lobster Cult? Yeah, right." William laughed at that. William couldn't possibly be in a cult. As of so far he only traveled alone in his ship. He has met nobody except for Kyle, which he fought a while ago... ...but still, being blindfolded and still willing to compete must have meant that you had to be a good battler. William: "Good job, though, of thinking that I was part of that cult, considering I used to work at Red Lobster before I left to stop the Windonian Empire. That is a feat I think is awesome." William was not the least bit scared of Schwa. He could actually have a good fight in his grasp here. He needed a battle. William: "So really, you think that I can be in a cult? People underestimate me too much... let me show you why they are wrong!" The battle has begun. William pulled out his boomerang guns and aimed them directly at Schwa. He shot them, knowing that this wasn't his best move, but for an opening attack it worked well. The boomerangs spun towards Schwa, but even after a dodge, they turn around again, making unsuspecting people OOC: Leaping Lobster Cult. That is funny! |

| OOC: I got a million of 'em. Leaping Lobsters, Cruel Crustations, and of course the deadly Pinchy Crabs! Muhuhaha! Oh sorry. And now for the battle... Schwa holds a hand out, and it flares with ether. As the Boomerangs come within striking distance, his hand moves like lightning, and in two quick movements he bats both Boomerangs out of the air with his arm. They fall to the ground and have not hurt Schwa. Schwa's Ether technique allows him to deflect physical projectiles while taking absolute minimal damage, in some cases none. Even bladed objects won't phase Schwa if they are deflected by the Ether. Schwa points at William. "I can sense you telling the truth. Very good, Truth is a key asset to a healthy life. I respect you, worthy foe. Now, you will learn the REAL key of respecting a foe... Fear! Alpha Psibeam!" (echo effects) Schwa begins his battle with his most commonly used Special Attack. Holding both hands in front of him, a white ball of light appears in front of his palms. Then he brings the arms back, and the ball spreads into an arc of Holy energy. Finally, Schwa points at William, and the arc takes off at a fast velocity toward him! This attack homes in on the foe, and does Holy and Psychic medium damage if it hits. Also, the damage is increased if the foe is Evil (which William obviously is not), or is experiencing a negative emotion or intention at time of hit. After firing the Alpha Psibeam, Schwa switches to an offensive stance, his fists flaring with blue ether. |

| William thought about something for a minute while the beam headed towards him. He remembered a game he used to play a whole lot. An RPG of sorts. He remembered that you could capture a whole lot of creatures into capsules. One of the attacks that those creatures had was devastating if it hit the enemy. He decided to see if it would work. William: "BIDE!" William held up his hand in an angle towards the sky. A small light emitted from his hands and disappeared. Then... nothing happened. The beam hit him, sending him flying a few feet. It did some damage, but nothing really major. He had a little scratch. He stood up, facing Schwa. William: "Your turn." In the stands, nobody was sitting there... nobody except one person. She just sat there and watched the battle carefully. She was silent and concentrated on the battle. |

| Schwa studies this technique carefully. "Bide, you say? I'm familiar with this move, a little... Just make sure you have enough fighting spirit left to pull off the attack, eh?" Schwa deftly does a backflip and lands feet first on one of the metal floating platforms behind him. It dips slightly when he lands on it, but it supports him. "I'll now use this time to perform an advanced technique. It requires a lot of energy to use, so hang on will ya?" Schwa kneels and begins charging white ether into his palm. Next turn the attack witll be ready... |

| William: "Aww crap. A non-offensive move this time... oh well." Bide was used in Pokemon, which the move would absorb at least two attacks and release the attack power times a variable. However, if a turn was used to defend or charge, Bide would be useless. William moved his hand up like he did the previous turn, however this time the light flashed red and shot a huge beam about fifteen feet in diameter. The beam held the power of Schwa's Alpha Psibeam but it was tripled in power. The beam headed towards Schwa at a very fast rate. The angle of the beam was sure to hit the platform he stood on, so if he stood there Schwa would still be hurt by the explosion of the platform. Her eyes widened in the stands as she saw the huge beam. She now understood that William was an almost-experianced battler. But she had to watch more. ---- OOC: You may be wondering why the audience member is included in the post. Well, I am introducing a new character in this battle but she won't really be introduced until the end of the battle. Just to let you know. |

| OOC: Very good... I like that kind of style. "Dang... To defend myself, I'll have to stop charging up. Ah well." Schwa cloaks himself with the white ether in an attempt to defend himself... but when the beam slams into him, given the beam's AWESOME power, the ether doesn't do a good job of absorbing the damage. Schwa is thrown backward. "Ah!" He lands on the ground, but seems to have flipped in such a maneuver as to land in a handstand position. Green ether flares brilliantly around his hands from his position. "So you ARE a good fighter! That means I stop messing around. Come at me again, I dare you." Something seems to be happening to the green ether, but it's hard to say what exactly... |

| William: "Dare accepted." William reached into his sack on his back, noticing how Schwa's hands emitted green. He reached around, finding nothing in that dimension in the bag... Then he found something he could find useful. He pulled it out and held it in front of him. He held a Gust Jar from the game Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. He knew well what to do. He aimed the jar top at a floating platform in the air. He then made the jar top spin, sucking in anything that it can fit into it. The platform started lowering to the ground towards William. The jar turned from a blue to a yellow and the suction power was faster. The platform moved faster. Then the jar turned red, maxed out its suction power, and the platform hit the jar. The jar held onto the platform with ease. William turned the platform at Schwa, and stopped the jar from sucking. The Gust Jar turned blue, and it shot the platform at Schwa at an alarming rate. The dust on the ground shot up as the platformed wasted no time in reaching its destination. She was impressed by both of the warriors in the field, but her concentration still lingered around William's abilities. She was really interested in his skills. |

| Out of the corner of his eye, Schwa had noticed the girl in the audience. As William makes his move, Schwa makes a few of his, starting by sending an alarming telepathic message to her that only she can hear: "William isn't so tough, cutie. You want to be amazed? Prepare!" Then he does a frontflip, TOWARD the platform, as the ether around his fists change from green to blue... and as the platform reaches Schwa, he brings his fists across the platform in an X pattern, slicing it apart into 4 bits! "HIYAAA!!" Destroying the steel object actually damaged Schwa, though, as it was a hard thing to do, but he never shows it. Then he points at William, landing on his feet from the frontflip, and calls his attack! "Psychic Earth, Emerald!" At that, a huge green beam IMMEDIATELY erupts out of the ground right under William! The beam doesn't do very much damage at all, but as long as the foe is in the beam, he is immobile. Yes, Psychic Earth Emerald causes paralysis! The beam should last only one of William's turns, and in that time, Schwa dashes at the (hopefully) imprisoned William, fists still flaring with blue ether... |

| William looked beneath him after Schwa called his attack. William: "What th-" He was cut off from his speech as the beam pounded into him, hurting him slightly, but the real threat was not being able to move. He tried to move, but failed. He could do nothing but hope that he could come up with a defensive ----- ???: "Cutie? You didn't just call me that!" She wasn't too happy that Schwa callled her that. Nobody could call her anything unless they knew her. After thinking that in her mind, she stood up fast and tried to shoot a sniper right at Schwa's head, but she forgot that the battleground was protected and the sniper bullet desintegrated when it hit the shield. Being an expert sniper, she could have hit Schwa right in the head instantly. She had a sniper rifle strapped to her back and can pull it out, aim, and fire in less than a second and still have a perfect aim. Knowing she failed, she sat back down angrilly and strapped her rifle back on her back. She then decided to try not to think, hoping to not hear any comments from Schwa mentally. |

| But even as Schwa dashes, he sends another telepathic message. "I read your mind, and I could tell you were hoping for William to win. It's time for me to beat that motive outta ya!" "Take THIS!!" he says aloud. Schwa smashes his ether-coated fist through the beam to hit William, and this attack, though Schwa's melee attacks aren't as strong as the "average" damage amount for melee attacks, he put some extra energy and force into this one, making it slightly stronger than his normal blow. If it connects (and why shouldn't it, really, when William's frozen in place?), the beam disappears. After striking, Schwa does a backflip to get away from his foe. "There! You see I fight without holding anything back. THAT... is real honor!" Schwa does a snazzy pose. Then he waits for William's reaction... |

| William flew to the side of the arena after getting hit from the beam and Schwa's melee attack. He stands up with a few scratches on his face. He sees Schwa do some sort of pose. William: "That all you got? Well then, guess it is time for the heavy artillery!" William held his Black Thorn in front of him, the sharpened end facing up and the handle down. He closed his eyes and stood there quietly. Then he yelled. William: "Fomidable Form!" The blade split in two and each side moved to William's arms. A bright light flashed and the blades forged into an armor of sorts. The armor was a very light grey color with tinges of blue, red, and yellow among it. The armor continued forming around William, growing around his chest area and moving up to his face, which the armor dodged his face and formed a helmet above his head, which a sharp sword-like object stuck out. The armor formed around the legs, making them seem very thick and not very easy to move, which was misleading. His feet became covered up in the armor. Just when the armor was finished forming, blades sprung out of his backside, which then a blue fire shot out of the bottom of the blades, acting as a jetpack of sorts. Orbs on both wrists (where a watch would go) shot out four blades out the sides, which then started spinning really fast. His knuckles shot out super slick blades, which were both one foot long. The armor was finished. The armor was complete, and William hovered over the ground, blades spinning and armor glistening in the sunlight. However, William could not attack this turn, as he used it up making the armor. |

| "Startegy is in play here. Can't you see that? Well, I'll make you. Zraku Guardian!" (echo effects) Schwa waves his hand once, and a blue portal opens next to him. What's this, a summoning technique? Very much so, for when the portal opens, a quarter-transparent, blue firey fox with glowing silver eyes steps out and into the arena. It faces William and speaks telepathically. "I am Schwa's guardian, Zraku. .... .... Nice armor!" "Zraku!" "Well it WAS... What's the plan?" "Keep 'im busy. I won't need you for long." "En route to attack, then! Prepare, young foe!" Zraku charges at William and his new armor form. She attempts a surprise attack; once in medium range she suddenly stops and her silver eyes give a pulse of bright light to surprise Willliam. She then immediately breathes ether (for holy & psychic damage) in a large cone area in front of her, sweeping the ether over William if possible. Meanwhile, Schwa kneels and holds a fist up. White ether begins charging into his hand... Uh oh, not this trick again! Apparently he's trying to actually finish charging this time by letting his summoned friend, Zraku, fight for a few extra seconds. Otherwise Schwa would be wide open. Now THERE'S strategy! |

| William: "Heh, a summon? Good, but not good enough." He didn't worry about a summon at all for some reason. He didn't feel threatened... but why? Zraku's attack would have hurt William, but William held his wrists up with the blades spinning. The blades started absorbing the attack! The entire attack was completly useless, as it layed within the confines of the blades, which slightly phased a white color. Zraku did nothing to William. Absolutley nothing. It failed... except it triggered an attack from William. William spread his arms in the air. The blades started spinning faster and faster until they both started hovering above the arena. They stopped spinning immediatly and then they both shot a gigantic beam into the sky. The beam was so big, that it could engulf the entire arena. ...but that was it. William did no attack this turn... what was that? Nevertheless, William still had his armor on, awaiting for an attack to be pulled against him. He was not feeling afraid... just calm and cool. William: "Better try something better next time." |

| Zraku is speechless for a moment... but then replies, "I hope you know that was pure Holy energy you absorbed. Works, but only if one keeps a pure mind. And if you were to later turn that into an attack or summon, the result would be Holy. ...Yeah, it's not your typical Holy element... it's Psi." Zraku takes some steps back. "Besides, that was a great defense! However I wasn't trying to hurt you. Just stall. Schwa, you ready?" "Ready indeed! Spirit of Wind!!" (epic boom) Schwa pulls off a highly advanced technique. But... it appears to be another summon! A whirlwind starts forming in front of Schwa... in 6 seconds, a tiny tornado, only about the size of Schwa, stands there. It's a real tornado with all the properties of one, but it's only the height and width of Schwa. "William, this is my Air Elemental. Zraku, good work! Methinks you caan leave if you want now..." "You kidding me? I'm sticking around to see how this fight ends!" Zraku breathes ether at the invisible shield seperating the arena from the audience, creating a temporary hole in the shield, and jumps into the stands. Moments later, the Sniper girl finds a blue firey fox sitting next to her. "Hi, I'm Zraku. Interesting battle?" It's a funny thing to watch a fox sit in a chair. Meanwhile, Schwa and the Air Elemental face Armor William. (The Elemental doesn't have eyes, but you get the drift.) "This Elemental is much stronger and more agile that Zraku." "HEY!!" "But it doesn't talk, so it's not as cool in my opinion." A sigh of relief from the audience. "But still, I'm not one to play around either, and soon your clock'll be throughly cleaned! Bring it on!" Schwa's planning something BIG, but who knows what it is? |

| William: "Obviously you are in for a treat, yourself. Just wait and see." William flew up in the air and looked down at Schwa and the Air Elemental. He shut off his blade jetpack. This caused him to start falling towards the ground. About a foot from the ground, William shot towards Schwa and the Air Elemental, blades on his wrist spinning. He ran into a control panel, which exploded on contact, but William still sped towards Schwa with no loss of speed or health for that matter. He pulled his right hand back and the blade on the end of his knuckle shined a dark brown. William: "Shattered Blade!" The blade spread apart. The blade, instead of being perfectly smooth, had a whole lot of ragged pieces all over it. This would clearly cause more damage, as it would scratch more than once. He sliced it at Schwa. The sky, which was perfectly clear, started to darken with clouds. Something was happening in the sky. ------- ???: "Ummm... hi. Name's Katie. I felt like I had to come here for some reason... something about William that fuels my interest..." Finally, Katie revealed her name after sitting in the arena for so long. She wasn't really paying much attention to Zraku... but she still acknowledged Zraku was there. |

| "Yeah, these two seem to be evenly matched," Zraku tells Katie in a telepathic voice Schwa or William can't hear. "Nice battle, really. Schwa is pretty good at fighting 'fiercly but honorably'. Interestingly enough, he admits defeat automatically if he feels he lost his sense of honor in a spar." "You're a very honorable foe, William! "Moonbeam of Stormbird!" (echo effects) Schwa holds his palms out, and four thin, purple light beams fly out at the armor. They aren't beam pulses; they hold steady against their target, and they move very fast... But they do NO damage whatsoever. Their effect is to erode all forms of energy they touch; Schwa's hunch is that the armor William wears is powered by some powerful energy within, and if Schwa can erode the armor's power source he may be able to silence his foe's armor for good. The Air Elemental moves in front of Schwa and turns transparent as bolts of lightning begin to circle itself. The Elemental, when transparent like this, is unaffected by Schwa's beam, and is surrounding itself with a lightning shield to cushion William's attack. The Moonbeams should probably hit, but even if they do it takes a while for them to zap away ALL the energy in the armor (if that's even how it works, because that's just Schwa's hunch), so William should still be coming in pretty fast. The electricity is meant to decrease the damage the Air Elemental recieves even further... but it'll still be pretty strong. And Schwa is putting all his ability into keeping these four moonbeams steady on the armor's surface, while he tries his best to dodge any attack that the Air Elemental can't manage to shield. |

| William: "Nice try, but the armor isn't hosted by some energy source. The sword is merely the souce of its power, and since the armor is the sword itself, well, then there really isn't anything that can stop it." William pulled back from Schwa, with the beams pushing him back. After that "onslaught" he looked up in the sky. "I hope this works..." He thought to himself. William: "Protecga Level 99!" The armor around William detached itself from him. The armor formed a cube around William, making an inpenetrable shield that requires a very powerful attack to break it. Just after the cube formed, the clouds above the arena moved, leaving a huge circle in the sky. A beam started crashing down from space. William thought this was going to happen when he absorbed that attack and shot it up. The beam headed towards the arena, which it crashed on the ground. The armor could only withstand so much, but it held. This beam became completly unelemental when William absorbed it, so no matter what, it would cause hefty damage unless you somehow dodge it. The only thing was that the attack would vary in the time it takes to actually be shot down. It could be that very same turn, leaving William completly unprotected, or it could be the tenth turn or whatever. The warning signs would be different each time too, so the attack was pretty unpredictable. Once the beam became finished, William's armor would become the Black Thorn again, and William would be back to normal, but couldn't use his armor form for a while. What happened to Schwa, though... In the stands, all you could see was a white light the entire arena length and miles up. You couldn't make anything out until the beam dessimated. Katie was kind of scared for a moment, but knew that William would probably be ok... she hoped... she also hoped for Schwa, too, as he was a good guy too... Katie: "Is that attack considered honorable?" OOC: Ultra powerful attack, yes? There are really big drawbacks though, as you can see, so this isn't like I didn't charge. | OOC: I think it's perfectly fair; the only thing I don't like is how there's basically no way to hurt William as long as he's wearing his special armor. Other than that... "You've been a baaaaad boy..." Schwa holds his arms across his chest in an X, and his whole body flares with lavender ether; the most protective kind, which represents Love. Sure, he could use Plasmatech Barrier and absorb the attack, then convert it to mana or an attack, but Schwa has something else planned, even if he takes a little bit of damage... The beam (which I assume is as big as the arena still) smashes down into the arena, and engulfs Schwa. Schwa takes only slight damage because he is coated with the lavender ether, but keeping the defense up takes a lot outta him and he grows mentally tired. After the beam is done, Schwa stands up as straight as possible and points at William. "Okay... last straw. I'm about to finish you. .... Behold my OWN armor!" With that, Schwa leaps straight up into the air, and the Air Elemental (which took damage from the beam also, a little more than Schwa but not heavily because it was transparent) becomes non-transparent and moves under Schwa to catch him. Schwa lands right inside the body of the elemental! There are flashes and bursts of silver electricity as Schwa and the Air Elemental merge into one being. In 10 seconds, the Schwalemental faces William. Schwa's body is transparent and floating inside the Elemental's body, glowing silver eyes visible under his blindfold and body lined with silver electricity currents. The two beings have increased stamina now but share all damage they take. And they have a brand new stat chart and attack arsenal. Schwa, now unable to speak, speaks with a telepathic voice. "You are very good William, to master such a powerful armor. But you are not the only one with that ability. Behold the power we posess as one!" Schwalemental waits for a response. Zraku talks to Katie. "That was pretty strong on William's part... Sad thing is Schwa was so predictable. He usually calls me into battle when he needs to stall for time... either that or he uses his Spirit-Splicing Oracle Summoning trick on himself... I've always admired that one. "By the way, do you battle?" |
