| But missing out all the *jokes*, isn't. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is meant to be funny. Looking at the list of what they left out I'm bemused about what on Earth they've actually kept. Jesper, while it's true that every version has had some major differences (the biggest one being Zaphod running off with the Heart of Gold at the end of the first set of radio adaptions, and I always wanted to know what would happen after that and his suggested link with the destruction of Earth), the vast majority of the core jokes have always been there. |

| Even if they took out 80 good jokes, there'll still be 50 good jokes left. I'm convinced that people will recognize a lot of good jokes, even if they left out a lot of them, too. |
