I had recently talked someone into giving me an old 5 1/4, and can't seem to either tell it's proper capacity or make the computer run two drives. in CMOS, there's only a listing for "legacy diskette A" with no B mentioned there. However, my motherboard's manual does show a B in it's picture. The drive in question says "epson sd-600" on a white sticker, but has "sd-680" stamped to the side. I don't know which one it actually is. This is confusing. In case it helps, here's the relevant lines of my system information. Note that this computer's bios hasn't been updated. Give me a good link to it if there's a newer version. System Manufacturer ASUS System Model A7V8X-MX SE BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies, LTD 1002, 12/4/2003 SMBIOS Version 2.2 |
