Hey.

I'm trying to import a BGmap16 tileset to use on one of my levels, I realiesed i needed to load the BGmap16 info from a rom i have. But when i load the Map16BG file it's allways screwing up every other BG in my hack!!!. So does anyone have de answer to this?.

It's probably because you're using stuff from the ExGFX Warehouse.

Warehouse? Ya mean Workshop? You have to load the map16 page to a blank page between 10 and 1F, and then you have to "change background map16 page" to the one you just loaded it to.

And, if it scrweing up all your BG pages, try a different function button(F2/F3) to load only the one page.

F2 saves the page, and F3 loads it. F6 (i think) saves all of the pages and F7 (i think) loads all of the pages.

I always use F2 and F3 to save/load pages and my BGs don't get messed tp.

F5 saves the FG pages and F6 loads it. F7 Saves the BG pages and F8 loads it. F9 saves all data to ROM.

I know how to load it in ect, and i did choose a blank page (page 14), but even then when i tried loading the file in, it still over rode the others before it. Has anyone used another Exgfx bg file from a another rom?.

Like i'm trying to get the bg the way i had it in my other hack, and i want to import it, but it's not looking right and s*$@.

I think the reason it does this is because any BG longer than 4 Map16 pages in the 16x16 editor or any BG that is above 0x14 in the 16x16 Editor will inevitably corrupt the other GFX for some unknown reason. I found that any BG which must be on any Map16 page of 0x15 or higher or has more than 4 Map16 Pages corrupts the BGs of any BGs 0x10 to 0x14. Dunno why but this is what I have found out. Loading the Map16 data onto empty slots amke no difference. I am looking for a workaround right now. I am no expert...this is just my own observation.
