| OFF: Realising there was not a lot of fighting in the last posts... should be fixed really soon, however! ____________________________________________________________________ The door closed itself behind Kirbynite as he got inside. The very first thing visible inside was... well... nothing. The place was completely dark... The entrance hall seemed so unnaturally dark... it was as if there was a thick wall in front of Kirbynite. Then, a few thousands eyes appeared. The room wasn't dark! There was a real wall of Dark Matters in front of Kirbynite! The entire castle was infestated! There were Dark Matters virtually everywhere!... and upon inspection, Kirbynite would find out that the floor is even covered with them!... which means that he's stepping on Dark Matters right now. Dark Matter #1: "Hmm... well... welcome to 02's castle. Sorry if it's a bit crowded but... well... 02 espected more resistance from her long-time nemesis, Kirby. However... it was much easier than espected and we had, like, no losses and as such, there's too many of us in the castle... not that it is a bad thing. No losses means no sad family members, after all!" Dark Matter #2: "You do realise that you're explaining the situation to our ENEMY out of the blue, for no apparent reason? What's wrong with you?" Dark Matter #1: "I'm feeling lonely, staying here all the time..." Dark Matter #2: "LONELY?!? You're stuffed in this room alongside, heck, 3,000,000 other Dark Matters! | Dark Matter #1: "Bah! We're not going to fight you. Our job is basically just to stand there waiting until the time has come for us to invade yet another place. However, there are squads of Dark Matter possessed guys in the next room who are more than eager to fight you! Personally, I don't understand them... in fact, I don't understand why our Queen continue to hate your father so much. How long has it been since your father last fought our Queen? 10, 20 years or something like that? Why should our Queen continue with that stupid grudge? Anyway..." The Dark Matters changed their position, creating an opening in the thick wall of Dark Matters and opening the way to the next room. | Kirbynite: Oh... so you guys are like Gooey and his son... huh.. Well, thanks, I suppose. Kirbynite starts walking forwad. His eyes start wandering around. Kirbynite: Geeze.. this dark decor would make a flower wilt in sadness in a heartbeat. This "Queen" needs to stop listening to Goth music and listen to some more cheery beats... Hm... The pink creature pulls out a device with a speaker on it. He clicks a few buttons and then attaches the speaker on the backpack's side. The Green Greens theme began to play as Kirbynite merrily walked on to the next room. |

| Beyond the door was the main hall. The hall was GIGANTIC and altought the walls had been painted black and red, it was still majestic-looking. On the purple carpet were drawings of lost souls on it. To the sides, close to the walls, were statues of various legendary fallen angels and demons. On the walls were paintings showing 02 in many of her past bodies standing triumphantly in various scenes of atrocious slaughters as she and her troops murdered entire populations of peace-loving innocents and destroyed countless civilizations. In short, it was truly a hall worthy of a evil mastermind such as the Dark Queen, 02. At the other end of the huge hall was a welcome comitee: 21 Dark Matter soldiers, nothing else! Those dreamlanders had been infested long before 02's recent invasion and years of possession had turned their skin purple, almost black. The way their eyes glowed... it looked as if they had turned into Heartless... but the worst was that, unlike the Heartless, they still had their souls and as such, every second of survival was a constant pain to them. Who knows what lies in the minds of those helpless dreamlanders, who had been stuck as 02's slaves for so many years... so many years of being helpless at the hands of the evil queen and her minions... The leader, a Waddle dee, stepped foward. Waddle Dee: "Well! Better late than never! We had been especting you for a while now! You are lucky, sir... very lucky. Our Queen has taken interest in you and has decided to give a rather unique fate... but only if you can get past us!" The second-in-command of the enemy squad, a Bronto Burt, hovered a bit to the right of the Waddle Dee... Bronto Burt: "Heeheehee... Our Queen has been waiting for a while now! Do not disappoint her and give us a good show!" | Kirbynite gives a firm nod. He reaches for his backpack, and pulls the speaker device off. He presses a button, then tosses the device off to the side. The speaker bounces a bit, and then lays motionless. The Green Greens theme changes to a remix of Dedede's theme. The pink creature holds out his Star Rod, which was still humming, however a bit louder than a while ago. He holds the Star Rod firmly with his right arm, while holding out his left arm. A white aura begins flowing out from beneath Kirbynite. Kirbynite: Slash 'n Dash! The white aura disappeared when he leaned forward. He took two steps, and almost seemed like he vanished. Doing what could be considered idiotic, Kirbynite rushed through the crowd with a huge Star Rod slash. As soon as he reached the center of the crowd, he performed the followup move to his combo. Kirbynite: Raging Beast! Still keeping his grasp on the Star Rod, Kirbynite spun around once. After the 360 attack, he planted both of his feet on the ground. He then grabbed the Star Rod with both of his hands, and made sure his footing was strong. The pink Dreamlander slashed at the air with such a force that it seemed like a lion was roaring. Infact, a ghostly image of a lion's head lion shot out of the slash, packing intense energy behind it. |

| Kirbynite's powerful attack knocked the leader and the second-in-command as well as many more foes into the walls, lifeless. The surviving foes formed a circle around Kirbynite, placing the Knuckle Joes and Blade Knights in front of the formation. The Poppy Bros. Jr. was seemingly the new leader as he was the one that leaded the others while they regrouped. Obviously, those were 02's elite troops: casualties didn't shocked them and they adapted extremely well to various situations. This also meant that they would strike hard and fast... which they did. Poppy Bros. Jr.: "Do not give the enemy the opportunity to use an attack like this again! ATTACK PLAN #1! BLACK TEAM! GO!!!" The 3 remaining Bio Sparks dashed toward Kirbynite from all sides! They stopped right next to Kirbynite and then, disappeared in an explosion of smoke. Where they disappeared, a bomb was visible. Poppy Bros. Jr.: "BLUE TEAM! GO!!!" The Knuckle Joes executed their Flame Uppercut on the floor, creating a wall of flames that would probably trap Kirbynite next to the bombs and leave him vulnerable to the upcoming attacks. Poppy Bros. Jr.: "GREEN TEAM! GO!!!" The Plasma Wisps concentrated and fired a volley of plasma arrows toward the ceiling so that if Kirbynite would try to fly over the fire wall, he would be struck. Poppy Bros. Jr.: "SIR KIBBLE 3! ON MY SIGNAL... FIRE!!!" The Poppy Bros. Jr. as well as the surviving Sir Kibble attacked! The Poppy Bros. Jr. thrown a bomb at Kirbynite while the Sir Kibble throw his Boomerang Blade toward him! | "ATTACK PLAN #1! BLACK TEAM! GO!!!" Kirbynite placed his Star Rod into his backpack. "BLUE TEAM! GO!!!" The pink Dreamlander then crossed his left arm over his right arm, both pointing down at the ground. A tiny crackle of electricity shoots out from his body. "GREEN TEAM! GO!!!" Kirby began to growl softly. A few more crackles shot out. "SIR KIBBLE 3! ON MY SIGNAL... FIRE!!!" Two pink, stubby arms shot above Kirbynite. A bolt of lightning shot out of his body. All of a sudden, a translucent field of energy exploded outward, surging out in every direction. It was safe to say that the fire near Kirbynite was blown out, as was the stray harmful objects in the area. What happened to the others in the area? Who knows. Kirbynite hunched over, quickly trying to get his breath back. Kirbynite: Whew... What a rush... Haven't used Crash in a long while. |

| The enemies were strong and all... but well, Crash is Crash and as such, all enemies were blown to tiny bits and their attacks never had a chance to strike. With the enemy army out of the way, the door made a very loud sound and slowly opened... A cold wind came out of the door and put out all sources of light, plunging the hall in darkness. | OFF: Half-challenge boss fight! ____________________________________________________________________ Kirbynite finally made it to the throne room of the castle. The door suddenly slams itself shut as he enters! Slowly, the fog disappears... Altought there are no sources of light, the light of the moon (What? It is supposed to be daytime, isn't it?) is lighting the room somewhat allowing Kirbynite to see Mitra, right in front of the throne. Strangely, she is all alone and unharmed... Mitra: "I have been waiting for you... son of Kirby!" The look in Mitra face... she is clearly not herself. She look so totally evil for some reason... she must be possessed by a Dark Matter or something! Mitra: "Heeheehee... I see you have defeated my troops. Very well... yes... very well... Anyway!" It then became obvious: Mitra had been possessed!... and by none other than 02 herself! 02 took out some kind of remote and pressed a button and a trapdoor opened just in front of Mitra and out of it came... a cage contaning Kirby! 02: "Are you happy, Kirby? I shall now have my revenge... finally... I shall end your line and then, I will leave you to cry over your dead son. Your pain and suffering shall be a feast to me! Oh yes... how long have I waited for this day..." 02 pressed another button and the cage was raised to the ceiling so that Kirbynite wouldn't be able to free his dad. Then, 02 dropped the remote and crushed it so that Kirbynite wouldn't use it to free his dad. 02: "Now... do you have the courage to kill your friend?... for you know, I am not going to let you take back your friend! Oh no! If you destroy me... then I will bring you friend down with me! If you surrender now, I will make your death quick and painless and shall let both your father and friend go. So... how is it? What a joke! This is WAY too easy! It seems fate has finally smiled to me after all!... heeheeheeheehe... err..." 02 quickly grew tired of laughing. 02: "Well, I'm now officially tired... and hungry... and guess what? A beautiful lady such as me doesn't feed on stupid rotten tomatoes like you! Oh no! I feed only on the most fresh despair and most carefully boiled mashed pain you can get!... but I don't have time to separate your soul from your body and to torture you, gathering your negative feelings so I can use them in my next dish. No... I will kill you right now and feast upon your soul! Indeed, I shall swallow it whole! Who cares if I'll swallow a few positive feelings and memories in the process? The sweet aroma of vengeance will cover the sour taste of your positive feelings! Now..." 02 raised her hand and the entire room was illuminated! Mitra was wearing some kind of robe... and it was obvious that 02 was possessing her. 02/Mitra somehow ripped her robe off herself, revealing the armor she was wearing under it. | Kirbynite: Now now, Mitra. You don't have to throw a fit for almost missing the show. Guess what? I've got a cool monitor thingy we can watch it from here! Kirbynite began digging through his backpack. He pulled out a strange looking device with a very wide reflective surface. He places it on the floor beside him, and keeps digging inside of the backpack. Kirbynite: Now.. where did I put that.. Huh? The pink Dreamlander heard a roar behind him. He turned around, and watched as a huge, dark beam surge its way towards him. He continued to watch, fascinated by the fact the beam was shot off into a random direction when it hit the monitor he had put out. Kirbynite: Aw man.. Some dark wind broke it... I'm sorry, Mitra.. |

| 02 stared at Kirbynite for a little while, not understanding how she managed to miss a target that was standing right in front of her using an attack that, well, takes out 50% of the arena in one shot. 02 *thinks* What the... Well... this was to be espected. I was so excited about this fight that I forgot to sleep tonight and see what happened here! I missed a shot I should have not missed!... well, I guess this means I'll have to do this the good old way... 02 filled Mitra's veins with pure dark energy, turning her blood black... and causing her color to change from yellow/orange to purple/black. Then, she dashed toward Kirbynite with the intent of slapping him once!... but this was not any slap! This was fire + dark-elemental and was strong enough to break down a brick wall! However, he didn't realize how damaged it was, and lifted the device with too much strength. The Dreamlander was thrown off balance and fell onto his back, with the possessed Mitra zooming over him. |

| 02 stopped right in her tracks as she realised she missed Kirbynite again! 02: "What the... Why aren't you fighting me? Didn't your dad told you anything about how to undo Dark Matter possession?... Didn't you learnt anything about your past battles against Dark Matters?" 02 smiled. 02: "Hmph! You do not know it, anyway? The Crystal Sword is the antithesis of all darkness. Heartless are instantly shattered by it's light and Dark Matter are forced out of possession and lose all their powers. Only it's power can truly destroy me... other weapons such as Galaxia, Magibrush, or your Star Rod there, will merely kill my host... which means that it will only kill Mitra while I, will survive to fight again!" 02 took a triumphant pose. 02: "Come on! Face it! You are no match for the Queen of Darkness! Surrender now and I will MAYBE spare your life..." ... Kirby seemingly awoke. He looked around, confused. He quickly pulled out his Star Rod Kirbynite: Get out of my friend, or prepare to see the light! You know what? Scratch that. Light doesn't affect Mitra. Kirbynite jammed his Star Rod through the floor and held both of his hands before him. A white aura started to surround his hands, meaning a blessing of Light was going to happen. He then reared his hands to his left side, holding each arm next to each other. Kirbynite: Shin-ku... A small ball of light began to form between his hands. One second later, Kirbynite shot both of his arms infront of him. A beam of light soared through the room and surged towards the 02 possessed Mitra. |

| Mitra/02 was shocked by Kirbynite's sudden counter-attack and was struck. As the Light surged trought her, large wounds appeared on Mitra's body. It looks like any harm that happens to 02 happens to Mitra as well... 02 fell to her knees, breathing heavily... and then... she begun to laugh... 02: "He... he... he... ha... ha.. ha... hahahaha... Ha... haahaha! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" 02 jumped backward and landed on her feet. 02: "HA! I knew you would do this! Heeheehee... You're completely in the dark... you know NOTHING of the Dark Forces!... quite ironic if you ask me!" 02 made a step backward. 02: "Heh! You may be my enemy's son... but you're just a runt! The Dark Matter blood must have been diluted in your bloodstream since your mother did not have the slightest drop of Dark Matter blood in her body... well, whatever!
