| (Only Kirbynite may reply) Trouble was brewing in Dreamland! The evil Dark Queen, 02, had returned to exact vengeance upon the descendant of Kirby, the one who had destroyed her long years ago! 02: "With my all-new army of randomly-generated Popstar creatures, I shall have my revenge on the Kirby bloodline! Yes... most definitely..." (random creature): "Hmm... sir? Why not sending our legions of Dark Matters unstead? These bodies aren't all that strong after all..." 02: "Maybe... but he won't espect it if we use the forms of randomly-generated Popstar creatures!" (another random creature): "Why do we always try to get revenge on Kirby and his descendants? We always get beaten to a pulp, every time! Why don't we try to do something a little more achievable like opening a cafe or something..." 02: "I CAN'T BELIEVE I HEARD THAT?!? Listen! This is not Kirby himself, just his pathetic loser of a son! Unlike his father, he's not a hero and does not wield the Crystal Sword! We shall crush him quickly and then, I will begin my plans of world domination!" (another random creature): "I still believe he'll beat us to a pulp..." |

| A popping sound echoed in the Green Greens county of Dreamland. In the grassy plains, a round, pink creature with a red cap and a yellow backpack walked around, searching for something. The creature held a baseball bat over his shoulder, and blew another bubble from the gum he was chewing. Kirbynite: Whoever came up with the rule of looking for your own ball needs to be smacked. Kirbynite looks around the hills. Something didn't feel right. The round Dreamlander holds his bat out. Kirbynite: Come on out, now. I know you're out there. |

| A being jumped from behind the hill and landed in front of Kirbynite! It was some kind of human queen... but something feeled... fake about her. Her eyes were unnaturaly red and her skin seemed a bit too pale... Queen: "So you are the son of Kirby, right? I've been looking for you! Big bad guys are wreaking havoc in the hills just behind me! Please! Drive them out of there!" 02 *thinks* Heeheehee... he'll never guess that this is a disguise! I'm truly a master at disguise! I've been able to fool Kirby twice with my Fairy Queen disguise and my Nightmare disguise... I'll be able to fool his son into thinking I'm a random queen looking for help! I'll send him to random areas infested with my soldiers and he'll get overrun and killed! Yeah! My plan can't fail for even the son of Kirby cannot clear all those areas in quick succession!... and even if he did, he'll be left weakened and ripe for me to crush mercilessly! |

| Kirbynite blinked at the pale woman infront of him. Kirbynite: ... Hey, do you happen to know Professor Gyromite? I can't remember if the old man mentioned there being a Dreamlander human looking all royal-like. The round Dreamlander puts stubby arms behind his head. He tilts to the side to look behind the woman. The grass just kept on dancing in the wind. Probably some kinda pest hassling her crops or something. Kirbynite: I'm a bit busy right now... I mean.. I'm trying to play catch up with my old friends. Um.. If you like, you can come watch. After the game, I'd be more than willing to help you out with any little pest problems.  |

| The queen suddenly seemed enraged. Her face was disformed by her intense hatred so much that it seemed as if she was no longer human... Then, slowly, she cried a single tear... but it wasn't a normal tear. That tear was a tear of blood and as soon as it touched the ground, it dissolved the ground. It was a hate tear... and only beings of pure darkness such as the Dark Matters have such tears! But then, the human calmed down... Queen: "I... see..." 02 *thinks* Hmm... maybe... well, that could work! Queen: "I understand... I'll go get another hero then..." The queen disappeared behind the hill. Hidden behind the hill, 02 assumed her fireball form and then dived into a hidden vortex, teleporting elsewhere. She decided that it would be best to kidnap Kirbynite's friend in order to give him an extra reason to help her with her "problems"... |

| ((Oh wow.. I finally am able to introduce Mitra Huang, a Dreamlander Pheonix..)) Kirbynite: Yeesh.. What was wrong with her? She seemed to be absorbed in her own drama or something... Oh! Here's the ball! The red cap sporting Dreamlander picked up his lost baseball. He turned around and skipped back to the playing field. Awaiting at the field were Kirbynite's childhood friends. On a quick glance, one would see some Cappies and Waddle Dees. However, in the midst of the typical creatures was a firery colored bird. Kirbynite: Sorry it took so long. Bumped into someone I've never met. Hey, Mitra, are you gonna pitch again. Mitra: Yep yep. Mitra rustled the long feathers on her head, which were tied up to look like a pony tail. She stretched out her right wing and took the ball from Kirbynite. Mitra started to walk towards the pitcher's mound. Kirbynite: Let's try to hurry this up a bit.. My curiosity's kinda flaring up.. I wanna know why that person was around... Mitra: Just remember not to let it distract you! Unless you wanna go look for the ball again Kirbynite: Alright alright. ((Oi... | Suddenly, a black shadow began to form behind Mitra... A single eye appeared on the shadows... and then another... and then another... and soon enough, a gigantic miasma of blackness had formed behind Mitra. The queen Kirbynite had met earlier appeared next to Mitra. Queen: "So she is your friend? I see..." The queen approached Mitra... Queen: "A Phoenix, as I can see... Fire Birds are common on the Outter Stars... but Phoenixes... extremely rare!" The queen examined Mitra... Queen: "The creatures of this world are interesting... and thus, it is understandable that my son had interest in this world... but still, the inhabitants of this world are way too weak and naive. Barely strong enough to serve as workers..." The queen approached Kirbynite... Queen: "As for you... you are the son of my greatest creation and backstabber-extraordaire, Kirby... isn't it? It took long years to create a being that would have the Copy power that is unique to the Dark Matter specie and still retain it's power of Light... and when we finally succeeded, that incompetant fool of a servant that is Nightmare had to lose him to a stupid gang of thugs like the inhabitants of this Star! What a waste!... Well! All is not lost, I guess... since if we cannot get the father... we shall get the son!" The queen smiled and suddenly, she transformed into a gigantic one-eyed angel! 02: "We shall purge this body of all of it's positive feelings and make it into one of our top-ranked officers! But my vengeance goes first!" 02 began to cry Hate tears. 02: "Since attacking that crumbling aging fool Kirby would be too easy... I shall have my revenge on Kirby by defeating and then torturing his descendant!" 02 was about to slap Kirbynite with her wing... but unstead, she pointed Mitra! 02: "SEIZE HER!" With that, the round Dreamlander twirled his bat in his right arm once, and lunged forward. With a firm grip on the piece of wood and his self prioritized speed statistics, Kirbynite dashed towards Mitra and the shadows. He swung his bat as he neared the darkness, attempting to drive it away. |

| However, Kirby's bat only found air. The shadows and Mitra were gone long before he could actually strike them. 02 laughed... 02: "What a worthless gesture! You cannot save her... but well, you can always try, right? If you want to save her... then you shall go to the hills where I first met you. There, your fate shall be decided..." With that said, 02 dived into the shadows. |

| The round Dreamlander looked at his wooden weapon. Kirbynite: It worked in Ico. Kirbynite muttered random words under his breath. He wasn't too thrilled about having to deal with a rescue, especially during his vacation. He already knew he had everything he needed in his backpack. Kirbynite: I'll be back, guys. Don't you worry about Mitra. We had to deal with a Dark Matter infused Umbreon years back, so I'm sure I can deal with this. And with that, Kirbynite took off to the hills, with the Green Green theme sounding off in the distance. |

| Once at the hills, two Waddle Doos, a Chilly, a Plasma Wisp, and a Blade Knight were waiting for Kirbynite. Waddle Doo #1: "So... this is Kirbynite!" Chilly: "We're supposed to rough him up, aren't we?" Blade Knight: "We're going to get a beating..." Plasma Wisp: "We're NOT going to take a beating! We're going to make our Queen worthy! Oh yes! We'll present her with a tainted Kirbynite corpse!" | Kirbynite looked ahead. He noticed the beady one eyed visages of five Dreamlander creatures. The Waddle Doos didn't look out of place, but seeing an eye on a Plasma Wisp was definitely something else. Kirbynite: ... I'm taking a wild guess it's a waste of time to ask you all to move out of the way. Kirbynite steps towards the five creature. His eyes search for a quick plan. Noting how close the Chilly is to the Plasma Wisp, the pink pugilist charged into the fray. He randomly chucked the baseball bat infront of him. He didn't care for what happened with the bat, since the focus of his attack was his spin kick. Sliding across the plains on one foot, Kirbynite launches his left foot at the Chilly, aiming to knock the snowman into the Plasma Wisp. |

| The enemies saw Kirbynite charging toward them... Chilly: "AAAARG! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!" Plasma Wisp: "You IDIOT! Freeze him in his tracks!" Chilly: "... err... hadn't tought about that, sorry!" When Kirbynite came close enough to strike the Chilly with his bat, the Chilly raised a force field of ultra-cold air around him. | OFF: Errr... usually, in a Kirby game, when you see a Chilly enemy surrounding itself with a force field made of ice, diving into the force field = damage... hence Kirbynite getting frozen in this post. ____________________________________________________________________ Unfortunately for Kirbynite, both the bat and himself was frozen upon entering the force field. Chilly: "AAARG... err... huh?" The enemies stared at a frozen Kirbynite. Chilly: "YEAH!!! I'm still alive!" Plasma Wisp: "That was much easier than espected. Really, I didn't espected the enemy to dive into the force field. Well... I guess that's a good thing for us! I'll blast this Kirby-wannabe into oblivion quickly and then we'll return as heroes!" The Plasma Wisp began to move around in an erratic manner. Obviously, it was charging static energy for it's super attack! ((OoC: Sorry, I didn't expect game physics to be thrown at me like that  Hm... *still tests out the water* Still seeing how this thing works  ))Something like ice wasn't going to stop a hero on a mission. The Kirbsicle twitched like crazy, slowly creating cracks in the ice. Within one second, Kirbynite erupted out of his confinement, launching shards of ice in every direction, causing a potential threat for the large eye of the Waddle Doos. Kirbynite quickly backflipped several times, putting some distance between him and rest of the enemies. On his final flip, he pulled out a pink and white striped object with a glowing star on one end. He was going to need his souped up weapon, since a wooden bat is not going to cut it. Kirbynite: I was caught off guard by the intensity of that, but I'd like to see you trick me again. His grip was firm on his weapon, while he reached for something inside of his backpack. | OFF: You wanted Kirby enemies in a Kirby world? You got the Kirby enemies in a Kirby world and as a special bonus, you also get the Kirby physics! HINT: The enemies have the same attacks as well as the same strenghts and weaknesses as in the games... so tricks you could pull off in the games may work in this challenge too!... just remember that unlike in the Kirby games, your foes will actually try to survive unstead of charging blindly... well, most of the time. ____________________________________________________________________ All the enemies received ice shards right in the eye but at the exeption of the Waddle Doos, the damage suffered was very minor. Waddle Doo #1: "AAAARG! THE PAIN!!!" Plasma Wisp: "SHUT UP!" Chilly: "Sir!" Plasma Wisp: "What?" Chilly: "The enemy! It got..." The Plasma Wisp turned around to face Kirbynite and noticed the strange object he was carrying... Chilly: "That's the Star Rod! We're doomed!" Plasma Wisp: "Pah! As long as he doesn't use the Crystal Sword, we'll be OK. Just remember that it's better to be wacked by it directly than to enter in contact with the stars the rod shoots!" Chilly: "So we must get in close?" Blade Knight: "Chilly! We are the only ones who can do this! The others are specialized in long range while our strenght rely on our melee attacks..." Chilly: "Hmm... I'm supposed to be happy about that?" Plasma Wisp: "Don't worry! We'll cover you! Right, Waddle Doo #1 & #2?" Waddle Doo #1: "THE PAIN!!!" WACK! Plasma Wisp punched Waddle Doo #1 in the eye to force him to stop screaming like an idiot! Chilly *whispering to self*: "Yeah... just like I said... we're doomed..." Plasma Wisp: "Now go!" Chilly and Blade Knight placed themselves in front of Kirbynite... Chilly: "Let's play it sneaky, Blade! It's the only way we can win." Blade Knight: "I'm a knight, not a coward! ON TO GLORY!" The Blade Knight charged toward Kirbynite! A full frontal assault! Obviously, Blade Knight was going to try and cut him into pieces! Chilly *whispering to self*: "I knew I should have joined the police force unstead of the army." | ((OoC: Can enemies hurt each other with their own attacks? )) Kirbynite: Don't need a Crystal Star?! Haha.. man, you guys don't know what kinda upgrades this thing's been through since I left PopStar Kirbynite pulled out a long card from his backpack and slid it under his cap. He didn't need it yet. Kirbynite: Gee, Blade Knight. You look like you've got a lot of Hit Points on ya. Probably a lot more than everyone else. I think I need to take care of that problem and perhaps start duel wielding, too. The pink Dreamlander opened up his mouth, and began inhaling as soon as Blade Knight was within reach. Being more youthful, Kirbynite's vacuum was a lot more stronger than his old man's, meaning a sword wouldn't help create distance. Had his inhaling been successful, he would've swallowed Blade Knight before Chilly's icey field reached him, using that splitsecond invincibility and typical sword motion that comes with copying an ability against the snowman. | OFF: Stealing a Dark Matter's ability force it back into it's true form! Don't worry about it however. Most of them are just lowly Dark Matter Troopers (the grey/black thingies in Kirby 64 that replaced the common Waddle Dee enemies) with no particuliar powers... but be careful! The Copy ability is the unique ability of the Dark Matter specie... and as such, if Kirbynite steals their abilities, they may try to steal it back! ____________________________________________________________________ Blade Knight: "HUH?!? AAAAAAAAAARG!" Blade Knight tried to stop before landing right in Kirbynite's mouth!... but was swallowed anyway. Then, a small black round thing with grey feet, a single horn on the back of the head was sent flying backward, and two cute yellow eyes was sent flying away from Kirbynite. The thingy looked at itself and then, it began to cry! Dark Matter Trooper: "WAAAAH! THAT MEANY STOLE THE ABILITY I HAD STOLEN FROM A BLADE KNIGHT!" Plasma Wisp: "SHUT UP!!!!" Chilly *whispering to self*: "We're doomed... DOOMED!" Chilly dashed into Kirbynite and used his ice field!... but Kirbynite used his split second invincibility and the typical sword motion to knock Chilly away! Chilly: "OOOooooOOOW! HELP ME!!!" Plasma Wisp: "Waddle Doos! Just don't stand there! DO SOMETHING!!!" Waddle Doos: "Yes sir!" ((OoC: ... Do.. Do they have long tounges like Gooey  ?))Kirbynite's cap quickly formed into a long, green cap, while his backpack turned into quiver. There were no arrows in the quiver, just a bunch of random items and junk that was in the backpack. Kirbynite: Interesting.. These guys got as much will power as an average hero to have gotten away without being swallowed... The green capped Dreamlander noticed the Waddle Doos approaching him. He tapped a button on the Star Rod with the hilt of his newly obtained sword. He then turned sideways to have the star tip of the Star Rod facing the Waddle Doos. Kirbynite: Let's rock, baby. Star Shotgun Blast! Kirbynite's arm recoiled back a bit as a spray of stars were shot out. The attack lived up to its name as the spray of star bullets packed enough force to knock enemies off their feet. |
