I don't know. Somehow I've gotten this rather large lesion on my thigh. I did'nt get hit there nor did I eat or drink anything remotely spoiled. I did'nt think that was such a big deal until a few days later. I have dozens of small red dots all over and a few that are the size of dimes. Also a scab I did'nt know of appeared on my leg.
My arms are getting covered in tiny red dots and I've had colds fluctuate in and out.
Has anyone experienced this lately? Perhaps it could be hay fever? I don't feel sick but my body looks like it's getting there. Just to be safe I just applied calamine on myself.

I'm just very worried and confused about this. I've seen similaur pictures of HIV2 and I hope that's not the case. May see a doctor soon. I don't want to die early.

hmmm wonder if it's that new strain of chickenpox someone on this board was talking about a few weeks ago.

Yeah... I heard that on the news recently. You'll definitely want to see a doctor about that, since you can't explain where it came from.

When I was younger I had the same thing on my arms, red dots. The doctor told me it was because of the sun. I have to put lotion before going outside if I know I'll be under the sun for a while.

I talked with the doc earlier today and I do indeed have chickenpox. I think I may have got it either from the weather or someone I may have accidently bumped up against in a hallway. Some of the blisters have been crusting a bit. That big one did and it's expected to heal and disappear in 2 to 3 weeks. I've been rather feverish and I won't be going to school or work for awhile. It really took the energy out of me.

So did you ever have it as a child? I can't remember but I thought you grew up part of your life in Japan or something, which might explain not getting it. I got it around age 8 or 9 I think.

Okay, this is a bad sign...
The bumps are getting bigger, I've lost weight, and I have weird white blotches on my tongue. I seriously think I may die within 10 years or less and I'm going under a state of panic.

I feel so morbidly sick!!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down, first off, and breath.

Maybe you should head to the ER. Maybe they can give you some meds to make you feel better.

Someone said I may have something related to HIV2. But I have'nt done anything that could cause such contamination. I called up my doctor not too long ago and he says it would be smart to check sometime this weekend. He says it may not be as serious as I think, as many epidemics common around the country have similaur symptoms. I still cannot be too sure, I felt very tired and lost my apetite about an hour ago maybe from reading symptoms but I seem to be just fine now.

I cannot be too sure so I'll set up a date soon. I'll have to tell my boss and professors that I may not make it tomorrow or the next day. Now I feel that being a total hypochondriac is absolutely necessary. In case all goes wrong, I'm going to apologise to anyone I may have hurt in the past. Now I regret almost everything and everyone I've wronged. Life is sweet, make every minute count while you still have them.

Well don't jump to conclusions just yet. I know every time I get sick I feel like I'm going to die, but it's probably just paranoia or whatever.

Eitherway I hope you're all right.

Go to the doctor. There's no point in being scared of a sickness. Denial will just kill you faster. If you find you do have a terrible disease of sorts, at least it sounds early staged and is more likelier then not treatable.

I do know what you're going through though - sort of. I once got a bad flu after I went to Toronto right in the middle of the SARS frenzy. You think I was calm? No. Did I think I had SARS? Yes. Did I have SARS? No. I just had a bad flu. Things may not always be as they seem.

Seriously, cool it. You're not going to die. Not yet, at least.

I had mono for the entirety of December, and was out of school for a number of weeks. Let me tell ya, my throat was so swollen that the opening must've been no bigger than a dime. The act of swallowing caused such immense agony that I made a habit of forcing myself out of bed - despite having no energy and feeling like absolute hell - and making my way to the bathroom just so I could spit in the sink and not be forced to swallow my own saliva. Eating and drinking were out of the question; I lost 20 pounds during that month, and could only force myself to bear the pain of drinking when I became thoroughly dehydrated. I was afraid to go to sleep at night - not that it would've been a simple task, anyway - because I was scared that I wouldn't wake up the next morning.

I don't claim to have been in any worse shape than you currently are, but I can tell you to relax and assure you that, more likely than not, you've a relatively harmless and fleeting illness. You have my sympathy for your discomfort but, for your own good, stop worrying .
