| OOC: Challenge to the first one to respond, simple as that. Standard SB rules. The twist: I will be using a character I have NEVER used before... named Kaz. This character will be a MAJOR part of Schwa's future timeline. My advice is post wisely, for once your character meets Kaz, that character will most likely become part of the Schwa timeline. Whoever you are... good luck. Schwa gets up. Who was that who knocked him out of the sky? Whoever it was, the figure in super-futuristic armor who did it is still chasing him. Schwa flips up on his feet as the figure lands in front of him. The area they're in appears to be a semi-forest near the base of a small mountain. The plants are reddish-orangish, as if it were autumn. "Schwa..." It's voice is mysterious. "Who the hell are-- AHH!!" Before he finishes his sentence, Schwa is knocked in the air by a lightning fast kick by the figure. To make matters worse, the figure leaps after him and hammers him with a steel fist back to the ground. The floored Schwa is officially getting whupped. The figure lands in front of him again. "I am Kaz, Cosmic Warrior. My dream is to end your life!" "You can't. Psi Warriors... NEVER... die." Schwa slowly gets up. Damn, this guy is powerful. Kaz responds by leaping up and firing a sphere of energy-- an unknown type of energy-- down at Schwa, who is pummled by it and cries out. Kaz lands again. "It is Sensae's fault we lost... He took our promised land from us! Our whole FUTURE!! You will all pay for his mistake." Schwa gasps at Kaz's threat. "From this day forth, I, singlehandedly, will crusade nonstop until ALL Psi Warriors are dead. Starting with you. Die!!" "You! Help me!" Schwa speaks as he points to an unknown figure behind Kaz. Kaz loses focus as he whips around to see the figure watching this fight... |

| [OOC] Perfect opportunity to push Shinpan's story further. [/OOC] ???: No, you don't. Wings spread out of the figure that was pointed by Schwa. In a matter of a second, that figure was facing Kaz, thus shielding Schwa. ???: It seems you attacked him for revenge....interesting. I see you don't know the meaning of "honor", don't you. Attacking while the person is unaware of your presence....Oh! Who am I talking like this, without at least giving my name... I'm Shinpan, angel of retribution, as well as a friend of a "great warrior". I see you're blinded with rage, so I guess it doesn't matter to you to know who I am. I don't even think I matter to you, at all. For some reason, Shinpan seemed interested in Kaz, and interested in protecting Schwa as well. Shinpan, himself, didn't know why. Maybe it was to get away from his counter-part...? He had only a few second to talk while being calm. He could only look at Schwa and see the power of Kaz. Shinpan was aware of the Schwa's power... Seeing him asking for help was not common , either. Shinpan (whispering to Schwa): Man, how did you get in this kind of trouble. This ain't gonna be easy on me, I fear. | Schwa takes this opportunity to frontflip over Kaz, fire a quick weak attack at him and run away. On the way he manages to address Shinpan. "Thank you! I won't forget this! I'll pay you back for this honor!" And with a quick thumbs-up to Shinpan, Schwa takes to his nearby crystal disc and escpaes to the skies. "NOOOOO!!! Schwa, I HAD you..." Kaz hollers, first in anger, then in despair. He points at Shinpan. "You must be some kind of guardian angel. I promised I wouldn't kill anyone but the Psi Warriors as long as I'm here, but I may not keep that promise now. Shinpan, prepare to fall." Kaz goes into Battle Mode. Battle Mode for Kaz works like this; Kaz starts out with the Master Meter set to 80 out of 100 points. Every turn it drains by 7 points. For each consecutive hit on the foe, the Meter goes up several points, depending on the attack. (When hits are blocked, the meter still goes up but by half the amount than usual.) When the Meter reaches 0 Points, Kaz's Attack and Defense power drop a good amount and he loses his energy attacks. But when the Meter hits 100 Points, Kaz hits FULL POWER and will be much stronger for 5 turns, at the end of which the Meter will reset to 50. Kaz has engaged Shinpan, but seems to be waiting for his foe to make the first move... Master Meter: 80. |

| Shinpan: Guardian angel? Maybe...who knows. But someone who wants to slip away from it's old life, that's for sure. Shinpan was not sure on how to handle the situation. Kaz wasn't the kind of fighter that seemed to be predictible. He was sure of one thing: The fight wouldn't be a piece of cake, and would force him to go deep in himself to be able to fight that formidable foe. Shinpan: You may want to take me down, but is that will power of yours enough? I can't wait to see. Shinpan thought that his only chance would be to make the first move, to estimate his opponant's strenghts and weaknesses. He hovered at great speed toward Kaz, infact a second was enough to get to a pretty unconfortable distance for any fighter that must defend. But that wasn't his attack, as he then quickly got in Kaz's back, and tried to hit with his RIGHT wing, which seemed to be pretty ordinary, but Shinpan knew that an opponant like Kaz wouldn't fall for such cover of an attack. |

| As Shinpan flies at Kaz, Kaz does a handstand and swings his legs toward the wings in an attempt to connect with the foe, thereby knocking the Master Meter up a few notches. Problem is, they both miss each-other, so nothing happens. Kaz retalliates by front-flipping toward Shinpan as he flies away from him and firing a sphere of that unknown energy at him. This type of attack will hit for medium damage. Master Meter = 73 + 12 if a hit OOC: Hint... Certain effects from either character's attacks may change the Master Meter. |

[OOC] This Master Meter thing is special, I must say. At least, I have something special too  [/OOC]Shinpan: Oh.... not bad at all. Shinpan stops hovering and puts his LEFT wing in front of him, to act as a shield. A small defensive aura on that wing literaly cut the sphere in two, thus making most of hit pass on both sides of Shinpan, making the attack do about one quarter of normal damage. Shinpan: Phew, not as powerful as I originally thought. Shinpan (thinking): What was that? It felt strange. Shinpan made his bow appear. This time, he was gonna try a different kind of arrow attack. Light Attack - Winged Arrow An arrow appeared on the bow, and had angelic wings similar to those of Shinpan. Shinpan releashed the bow string and the wing arrow was aimed at Kaz's right leg. |

Kaz runs at Shinpan and leaps over the arrow, then in midair his Afterburner (a jetpack-like rocket boost implemented in his suit) takes effect. He does his best to slam into Shinpan for a rocket-speed tackle, fist first. Master Meter = 67 + 12 if attack hits. |

| Shinpan: Oh my.... As he see's Kaz comming to him, Shinpan tries to dodge. But he couldn't completly avoid Kaz's fist, for something was bothering him. Shinpan: !!! The angel was knocked on the ground, but quickly got up. The damage was greater than the first attack, but he was still in condition to put up a fight. Shinpan: Still not as powerful as I thought. But that was surprising, I must say. Even if he didn't say much, Shinpan lost precious time. He tries to counter attack with a fist attack of his own, hopping Kaz wouldn't stop (as his attack wasn't completly stopped). |

| OOC: I don't quite get what you mean. I may edit this when it's more clear. 12 points added to the Master Meter. "Puh. You're worthless." Kaz blocks the fist with his arm easily. He then tries a fast leg-sweep followed a hammering downward blow to the head, an excellent combo. "You forget I've been doing hand-to-hand combat longer than I've ever used any weapon." Master Meter = 72 + 12 per successful hit. OOC: As you can see, combos are quite important for Kaz to win a fight. |

I Just meant that the way you attacked me, and the fact I moved made it so you're still moving after my semi-dodge.[/OOC] Clearly surprised by the way Kaz blocked the punch, Shinpan couldn't dodge the leg-sweep. However, he quickly took back control over his body and the blow headed to his head by putting his arms in a "X-like" position, to make the strenght spread, thus reducing the pain. Shinpan (whispering): Ouch, hurts..... Shinpan: I've been fighting without a weapon for a long while, you should know. But I've been using mental strenght to make it worthwhile! Shinpan pushed back Kaz, to finish his blocking. He then looked at Kaz's legs and then tried another punch aiming at the stomach region, but this time, he used his right wing and aimed at the legs with it. |

| 12 + 6 points added to the Master Meter. Kaz blocks again... or tries to... The blow to the stomach is blocked easily, but Kaz doesn't expect the wing attack to the leg, and it connects! Kaz is knocked backward a few feet, landing on his feet but tripping because of imbalance. He gets up. "I see. So you're not a wimp." Kaz attacks by holding his fist out, pointed at Shinpan, which suddenly breaks off the armor and flies at Shinpan propelled by a mini afterburner! After hitting or missing, the fist reverses direction and attaches back to the armor. Master Meter = 77 + 12 if attack hits. |

| After his wing attack, Shinpan quickly jumped back. However, as he prepared an attack, he noticed the fist comming at him.... He had no chance to block, so he took the full blow in the face, which made him fall on the ground and slide a fe feets away. Shinpan: Ugh.... Damn. He got up, and seemed a little tired. While he has stamina, it didn't made much difference against a fighter such as Kaz. But he wasn't gonna to lose, not that way. As the fist turned back, Shinpan jumped on it and while it got close to Kaz, he tried a kick were the fist would attach. |

| 12 points added to the Master Meter. "What the--" Shinpan's crazy tactic is completely successful. The force of the kick knocks Kaz back and he falls again. The fist follows him, and, having knocked Shinpan off after he connected with Kaz, reattaches to Kaz's armor while he's on the ground. "I see... You're more of a match than I figured. Well, enough melee." Kaz gets up and draws some weapon from his back... It's a large steel ball, but it's not completely solid; it's made up of many steel rings of different sizes that, when together, forms a steel ball. Kaz throws the weapon at Shinpan, and it immediately splits into a very wide fan of razor-sharp steel rings! The widespread attack is meant to get a sure hit on Kaz's foes... Master Meter = 82 + 4 for each ring hit. |

| Shinpan: Eeeekkk! As the rings get to him, Shinpan begins doging them. As a few of them pass by, he tries to find a comfortable stance, and then one....two.... three rings it, and Shinpan then dodges the rest. Shinpan: Phew. Then, from Shinpan's right arm, there was some blood. It seemed that that was the place where he was it. Shinpan: Hehe, not bad. He then ran at Kaz, and he hoped that his opponant wouldn't notice the ring he caught, as he would use it after his kick in the mid- parts, hit or not. |

Kaz hopes the first kick will deflect Shinpan's kick, while the second, third and fourth kicks will strike him. Master Meter = 87 + 12 for each full hit (half that if a kick is blocked). |

| As he sees his kick being blocked, and sees Kaz counter-attacking, Shinpan kickly thinks, and believe dodging is the best way. That way, his own kick is slightly deflected. However, Shinpan successfuly dodges the second and third kick by avoiding them. As he thought it was the last one, Shinpan could notice the last kick, late. When it came to hit him, Shinpan takes the leftover ring and blocks the kick. Shinpan: That was close..... Shinpan gets back and watches Kaz. | OOC: I'm glad Shinpan finally figured out the strategy. Remember, Kaz is an ELITE melee fighter, but not so good with ranged attacks. He relies on combos, which is a close-range art. Good going! 12 points added to the Master Meter (6 + 6). Kaz stares through his weird helmet at Shinpan. "There is no way you can match up to one who has trained in the arts of the stars... HIA!!" On the 'HIA', his afterburner activates and he attempts to slam into Shinpan, fist first, in a rocket tackle. Furthermore, he attempts to keep going if his attack knocked Shinpan down, to get behind him. Master Meter = 92 + 12 if attack hits. |

| [OOC]Heh, sorry for the waiting. [/OOC] Shinpan (whispering): Damn, I currently stand no chance. And I can feel him becoming more intense for every hit on me. There's gotta be something to do. Seeing the rocket tackle attack that would soon hit him, Shinpan once again relied on the denfensive power of his LEFT wing to partially put the attack off it's course. However, this maneuvre, while preventing any damage to be done, would engender some stagering time, a moment of weakness, that a fast foe could use to it's advantage. OOC: For your imformation, I really do expect you to fight with your all.  6 points added to the Master Meter. Kaz's flight course is diverted slightly at an angle behind Shinpan. He turns around while flying away from Shinpan and his fist rockets off the armor again for another Rocket Punch aimed at the back of Shinpan's head. Kaz then turns his body upright in midair as his afterburner turns off, allowing Kaz to land at a crouch on the ground slightly behind and reasonably far from Shinpan. Kaz waits for the fist to return to his armor, then speaks. "I shouldn't be fighting you, I should be chasing Schwa. The longer it takes for you do die, the harder you make this." Master Meter = 93 + 12 for a successful hit. OOC: Of course, Kaz would never actually KILL anyone... This is a G-rated forum!!! Edit: Well, not really, actually, but so? Shinpan was forced to kneel down, and the punch passed by him, to go further. DarkSlaya (telepathic, to Shinpan): Be lucky that I was watching your fight, or you would've been in trouble. And sorry about that pain I inflicted to you, it was the only way to make you dodge the blow. Shinpan got up, and looked at Kaz. Shinpan: Kaz, why do you fight? Is it really some kind of revenge? I don't get it, such skills used for something so.... ummmm... stupid. |
