| Hey, I'll be joining this forum. But how about an introduction? My label would be a ROM hacker. I started with the NES, since it's oh-so easy, and much is known about it. I mean, what game could be easier to modify than the original super mario brothers? I made a pretty cool hack a while ago, which I'm not linking to. My only experiance with the Sega Master System is graphics. Plus getting lucky ROM corrupting levels and colors. After getting to know the NES, I got fairly involved with the sonic community. I learned to tweak the MD/Gen sonic games. Did that for a bit. I made a couple reeeally bad hacks. But they're rightly funny it their horridity. So yeah, I can do that. I don't have any SNES experience outside of editors. I have an ok amount of experiance with GBA games. I am currently do a Sonic hack of Dragon Ball Advance Adventure titled "Sonic The Fighter." It's like, 75% done. As for an odd one, I'm beggining poking the Sega 32X. I'm just starting on hacking the game Knuckles' Chaotix under the title "Newtrogic High Zone". If you don't know, the 32X is basically a perversed genesis add-on with two fat memmory banks. Icy Guy (from this board) and myself discovered that the 32X uses the same color format as the GBA. So... yay us. The is the only system out of the ones listed above that I can not edit the character sprites. Sure the background art is compressed in a known format but... that's worthy of another post. I also make a flash series called "Knuckles Adventure," which you may or may not care about. What game is easier to modify than the orginal? Well, I heard that the orginal SMB is using a quite odd level format. Althought I really hadn't hacked SMB manuaually, I do have hacked a few other NES games.  NES games is usually quite easy to hack...And hello Heran Bago, welcome to this board.  |

A lot say that SMB is easy to hack. It wasn't my interest. However, a few other games were. Let me just say, Super Mario World, I guess... I haven't been hacking in months either though. And it was romhacking that even brought me here, or shall you say, Super Mario World hacking.  Welcome here to the board, have fun!  |

| I have a good number of finished hacks. The thing is, most of them, I distribute as whole ROMs. http://heranbago.digibase.ca/lol-minish/lol-minish.htm That is basically the only hack I distribute by patch. Too many people come saying "THE PATCH DOESN'T WORK!!" So I genereally shy away from patches. I would Have to say my specialty is MD Sonic games. Some random images:  Super Koopa Bros. | Well, don't worry about using IPS patches to distribute stuff here - MOST people know what they are and how to use them. Plus you can't distribute whole roms here. Welcome.  |
