| Humans are _LOSING_ their phychic abilities. 1000 more years from now: The average weight will be 400 lb. Microsoft will have been bought out by an even MORE horrible company (hehe), computers will be exactly 1/3 the size they are now, and gigabytes will be NOTHING compared to the amount of storage these new computers will have. Acmlm's board will have closed, and we'd all be dead (1000 years is a lot. ). We'd be 1/2 as active as we are now (which isn't a lot. ). Black and White will be a minority. Everyone will be a shade in between. Sorry if that sounds kinda racey, but think about it for a minute. The coolest part is VR will be like the Matrix. We'd put helmets on that will stimulate different sections of our brains to produce a Matrix effect, except the cool part is that we can die in this VR, and not die in real life because of it. Humans would be SO ABUNDANT, we'd have to do a lottery to find out who has to die to prevent overpopulation.  Also, something MAJOR will happen that affects everyone. Call it a hunch... |

| Depends on the conditions of our existence in 1 or 2 thousand years. We, by then, will have gained the ability to colonize other worlds. So, humans will begin branching off into different specie branches. Terrestrial humans based on their world will be different than humans that have lived in space for generations. There will be humans that have assimilated themselves into a technological cyborg world. There will be humans that have remained on the natural course of evolution and turned into giant lard ass bosses. There will be workers. It is all based on the condition in which we are existing and the events leading up to it. |

You could shout at something so loud that it falls over or something, but never simply move something "with your mind", at least in a world based on objective logic. If by psychic powers you mean being smart enough to get a good prediction about the future or being able to communicate in sound waves not usually audiable to humans, that is certainly possible, although very unlikely. Frankly, I simply prefer not to go guessing about it. It would take so long that any predictions made today would certainly be far outdated by the time any sort of evolution happens. |

| We're not going to blow ourselves up. That's silly, we've been aware of that possibility for too long. ...I'd give us about an 80% chance of somehow breaking this planet some other way than explosions, though. To that end, here are some apocolypses for the new millenium: -Freezing, as in Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. -Freezing, by destabilizing our orbit. (Frying too) -Freezing, by overkill attempts at stopping global warming. -Turning the planet into a ball of grey goo, thanks to the miracles of nanotech. -Vaporizing the planet. Don't ask how, I don't want to know. -Temporal anomolies. -Rock we're standing on stops existing suddenly. Hopefully we'd go with it, so we wouldn't die horrible deaths. -Planet turned inside out. -Atmosphere says "FU" and goes away. -Atmosphere turns into acid. -Super virus. -Biogenetically engineered preditors. -Pissing off aliens. -Biblical apocolypse. Provided none of that happens though, the next thing I see on the human evolutionary agenda is dealing with the massive global climate changes that will result when the moon floats away. |
