I know English, BASIC, C, Java, PHP, MYSQL, HTML, 1337, and Lamer Speak.

If you're only counting normal, spoken languages, then just English.

I am fluent in English, know a bit of French, and also know 1337, Bad English, and Pig Latin.

Again, probably only English counts here.

Two.

English and Spanish.

I alos would like to state that AOL Talk/Speech isn't a language no matter how many arguments you start up with your English teacher.

I am only fluent in French and English. French is my first language, and I have only known english for about 9 years. I can also speak and read Spanish, but I still have to work on my writing and properly understanding it.

If I were to count languages which I only know a few words of then I would have to include Japanese, Cantonese, Italian, German, Russian, Latin and Arabic.

AOL speak is techincally like Pig Latin. It's about distorting languages...

Swedish and English, and you really don't get good on languages until you start using it. I do have bad grammar, but it have improved alot... just by posting on Acmlm board.

I know French (native language), English (kinda bad at some times) and Spanish (even though I failed my Spanish courses, I can still read it and write it a little).

Acmlm Board. Helping the common man and his common problems.

Actually you did get better, I still remember a few misunderstandings you caused with some words you wrote incorrectly or translated wrong. Man, the good times.

Remember this? That was the month I started to get... "well-known" and probably becuse of rather pointless posts too.

"I'm on second place, for the moment!

But i'm sure that i could be kicked out of the list if i aren't careful..."

...yep, I have improved. That's my old English.

(hmm, ACS was alot more active back then. But it was usually the same people posting, still the same today just much more limited... heh.)

I know English and I was taking German, but I've mostly forgotten it.

Kitten Yiffer: that page is not going because of external stuff not existing

I remember that you often said "thought" instead of "though". I was almost PM'd you about that, but I had to go I think... because I would have to help, of course

English natively, but I'm almost fluent in Spanish, I just started German in school and I'm teaching myself Japanese, Russian and soon, hopefull, I'll have a friend teaching me French.

I have this dream of going almost anywhere in the world and speaking the language fluently and so well that I sound like a native.

Knowing some many languages, or fragments of them at least, has caused me problems. I get mixed up sometimes and when my brain goes into foreign language mode, it's not uncommon for me to think in a mix of languages (usually just mixing Spanish and German. I think German in the words I know in German, then sub what I don't know in with Spanish without realizing it. Makes writing a bit difficult sometimes)

English, obviously. That *is* my first language after all.

Second would be French - my oral skills are hit or miss but I can generally read and understand the language.

After that... well... I know a little bit of Spanish. And a couple of words from this language and that.

Native language is English.

I can also speak Spanish pretty fluently now by practicing on my own. I had 4 years of it in school and I continued my study at home.

I got really bored a few years back and wrote my own language called Halcyonic for a book I was planning on writing... (took place in a peaceful alternate universe that man discovers, and proceeds to destroy maliciously to attain their natural resources. It showed both points of view. From our point of view they spoke Halcyonic and from theirs we didn't speak.) I can only remember how to say, "I was in love." which is "Danth ameo." God I was bored.

I want to learn French, Japanese, maybe I'll try and find my "Lexica from Halcyon" notebook and relearn that language, because it was fun, despite being kind of sad.

As I only speak English, I'll defer to Dikembe Mutumbo, Patrick Ewing, and Yao Ming:

EWING: How many languages do you speak, seven?
MUTUMBO: I speak Ebonics now, so eight. Yao, do you speak Ebonics?
YAO: (shrugs)
