I know there have been some scams involving people getting e-mail addies promising a GMail invite. If you don't trust me, thats fine with me, I'm not getting paid or killed if you dont want any. And it won't hurt my feelings if you say no. I've got 42 left. This is the only place i've posted about them.

If any of you would like a GMail, send me an e-mail from the addy to which you want the GMail sent. My e-mail is ifellonblackdaysatgmaildotcom. (of course its with an actual '@' and '.') I promise you that you will not be recieving any unwanted e-mail including any e-mail from myself or Google. The only e-mail you'll get is the one with the invite URL (which is encoded) and will be sent from the Google company, not from me.

I like GMail, and I think some of you might like it, if not, well at least you can say you tried it. I prefer it over Yahoo/Hotmail/Excite/Outlook/etc. Also, the ads are small text ads (exactly the same ones that are found when you search with Google. They may even be smaller.) that are relevant to your emails via an automated engine thing (it doesn't violate any privacy.) It's got a 1000MB inbox, and a search engine built in to it to search through your own e-mails. Your sent mail is automatically saved with the recieved mail in conversations. It's really handy if your trying to remember what the hell you said to some one, which happens to me a lot.

Take em or leave em. Just a friendly jesture.

There are perfectly legit invite-trading sites if you're anxious to get rid of your invites.

I have 50 Gmail invites, and this is the third thread or maybe even the fourth thread about G-mail... there was another one recently in Craziness domain.

And i'm not surprised if they open G-mail for the public quite soon. After all the invites are flowing all of the internet, it does restrict the access to Gmail but... heh.

I have 50 too, but not terribly anxious to get rid of them. *shrugs*

I'm sure I could find some people at my work that might want them though.

It's not that I'm anxious to get rid of them, I just thought I'd offer the ACMLM folk before any one else. I respect the ROM hacking community.

EVERYONE has 50 GMail invites now, just so you know. This is the final push before it exits beta.

Ah, I was wondering why it would jump from 9, to 50.

(Hmm, so that means I have a total of about 300, nice!)

... What?

Damn. I hate not knowing stuff like that.

Thats what you get for spending a few months only getting on the internet about once a week.

Gotta love it when people think they're clever by inviting themselves to gmail for no reason, when in fact they just don't know enough people to invite.

Try using GMail to store warez. Then you're cool. 8|

GMail, no POP3 or to speak even about IMAP ?
No way then ...
Though have an account, but since I forgot my account name AND password, I can't access it
But anyway I got my account off a page with instant activation - and I had those fifty invites left too when I last accessed that account. I think I'm getting a new one now, writing down the data and then replacing my email address in my profile. Heh, just set up a new one

Dude. Even my grandma has GMail. And she couldn't tell what a computer looks like.

"Why is there only one button on this white TV?" "I have a GMail account"

"Free POP access and automatic forwarding
Access your mail the way you want to. Download your messages. Read them offline. Use your Blackberry or Outlook or just the good ol' web. Or forward new messages to an email account you specify. You can even switch to other email services without having to worry about losing access to your messages. Think of it as email portability."

yup, there is free pop access...

Why would you assume that Google wouldn't offer POP3 access? They're trying to stay ahead of the curve here.

Somehow given all the invites, I doubt there'll be a huge rush of people getting in when beta ends.
