- Play D&D one to two times a week
- Play Magic the Gathering almost 3 times a week
- Have a nice collection of anime in Japanese and some subtitled in English.
- Play Warhammer 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, Epic, Warmaster, Warmachine, Confrontation
- Purchase items from Thinkgeek two times a month
- I have an Associates Degree in Computer Graphics
- I have Bachelor Degrees in Computer Science and Religous Studies
- I know COBOL and have over 5 million lines of programming used in a business enviroment at this time
- I know C but none of it in a business enviroment

And the weird part of all of this is...I'm married and have a daughter. I seem to have found a way to balance my geekness and my social life. And I'm also one of those people that just crave to know as much as I can.

I probably keep everything in the same partition, expect for the cache. Considering the amount of space I have... else I would a few more partitions. So I doubt I get into any problems, since I even plan to have less partitions than I had with Fedora core 2.

Well, I had around 2x the amount of ram as Swap... so you can figure out I just have 128. I wish we had more than that... it's quite noticeable at times how limited it is.

I play around with it in VMware first, not removing Fedora yet. I saw there was a Slackware distro that could be run on a FAT HD and even share the same partition as Windows. I think I play around with that one too before the ISO files are downloaded, just for fun... but I don't think it will be any useful for me in the long run.

Seen too many toys I want but can't from thinkgeek. Anyone want to buy me a birtheday present?

I always hated it when that happened. I remember Googling Minesweeper a while back and coming across somebody's idea for a board populating algorithm that would never produce such ambiguous cases, but I don't know if any games were developed that implemented it (or if the algorithm was even finished to begin with). That would indeed be nifty, though.

At least Gnomine (a Minesweeper clone for Gnome) doesn't suck royally like it used to. When I first played it, it didn't even have that feature that would guarantee that your first click would land on an empty square, so you'd oftentimes die before you even started playing. Thankfully they fixed that stupid bug a while ago.

Alot of clones have that problem actully, althought I still prefer the orginal Windows version. I have played Gnomine thought. Which is nice when your on Linux, under the Gnome enviroment.

Then, I could always run Windows Minesweeper under Wine... <.<

Reasons why I'm a nerd:
- I need glasses (I wear contacts though <3)
- I play Tactics games
- I can type about 10 times faster than anyone except a few people in my classes.
- I actually read the books that I'm supposed to read in English the first night they're assigned
- I think Hamtaro wasn't that bad.

- I like anime
- I have a minimal number of "real" friends
- I'd sit in front of the screen 24/7 if I could
- I'm making my own IRC bot in PHP
- I play StarCraft

Your not a nerd, you just have bad tastes.

(just kidding)

And well, playing Starcraft makes you a PC gamer. Not a nerd. Unless you count gamers as a type of nerds...

- You like to quote people, alot.

Lessee...

- I quote Star Trek from memory. Became easier after downloading all episode scripts of TNG and DS9.

- I have physically adapted to a life at the screen. Never get RSI, never get painful eyes.

- I grok Nintendo's devkits.

- I use the word "grok" in daily speech wherever applicable.

- I say "bah weep graagnah wheep ni ni bong" wherever applicable.

- I'm starting to think klingonese would be easier to grok than japanese.

That's either japanese or R2D2-speak, but I guess it qualifies either way.

Bah weep graagnah: universal greeting from the Transformers movie. Kup uses it on the Sharkticons and fails. Later, Hot Rod uses it on the Junkions and succeeds.

Live long and prosper: Vulcan greeting. Common reply is "peace and long life". Romulan greeting, just for fun, is "Jolan Tru"

"Destroy Unicron! Kill the Grand Poobah! Remove even the toughest stains!" -- Junkion war cries just before flying back to Cybertron.

I'm the All-Star Nerdula! In fact, I chat ALL the time! I even put aside my fun and games to chat on the computer. If I can't chat on Acmlm's, (mostly because, I wait for replies in the 1000+ posts I make ) I chat on Neopets. (You'd be banning overtime, if some of the people there goes on your board. I mean, sheesh. They live for evil.) If I have nothing to do, then I'd just sorta hang by the comp not doing anything...... but sitting and watching.
