cpubasic13 17 years old now. Time to buy some M rated games by myself! Level: 54 Posts: 870/1346 EXP: 1206934 For next: 26936 Since: 03-15-04 From: Blame my parents, Eddy Since last post: 2 days Last activity: 1 day |

Hmmm... 2020, eh? That would make me 31 years old... wow... Well, for one thing, some of the members would have left and never returned... Rom hacking would consist of hacking XBox, Gamecube, and PS2 games. The NES would probably have been all figured out, everyone used it to the limit, and would never want to be hacked because it is way too easy and N64 hacking would have a SM64 editor just like Lunar Magic. There would have to be fingerprint identity just to log in. Uber awesome security system! Every member right now would be very senile unless they are under the age of 20 right now. My user name would stay the same. Why change it when it is ok? |

IN 2020, half of the members won't post much because they'll be enjoying the newly releashed Duke Nukem Forever.

Heh. In 15 years, acmlm will be a long forgotten memory by almost all of the people here, IMO. I don't see this lasting for 15 years. Of course, it's impossible to predict. At the very least, there'll be a very largely new userbase. As users here get older and spend less time online and such, and new users come. That, and ROM-hacking will most likely be much more advanced. |

I think that Duke Nukem Forever will have its first expansion pack by then Wow, you're REALLY being optimistic there by even suggesting there'll be talk of an expansion by then. |

Oh, and let's not forget - everyone will have 50Thz computers with 512GB of RAM, 128GB of video memory, 8PB hard drives, and 3D cards capable of 120 trillion polygons per second - systems almost powerful enough to run the newest version of Windows. Hehe, this thread escaped me, I forgot it was here Colleen was mostly right, I didn't want to do a screen dump because there are some details that need to be fixed. I wanted to have those fixed for her first close up. Remember, this isn't supposed to be 2.0, I just used my old 2.0 concept as a vehicle to test the new colour scheme's potential. When it's finished, I'll make a load of other colour schemes that show where it can go and what it can do. Also, the reason why it's a phone-cam photo is because I was taking pictures at the time I hope to have a first beta for the new colour scheme system finished after the easter holidays. At the moment Java and C++ coursework is crippling any work on Acmlmboard. |

I hope the current color scheme will still be available...I find dark text on light backgrounds to be rather boring...

Don't worry, even the early predecessor to this (ie, Square Moon's Acmlmboard) had "classic" style schemes. You can expect all the old ones to be ported across.

The daily cycle scheme probably will still be the standard one for quite some time I even think. Althought i'm using the most old colour scheme right now, and used it for quite some time too. That one with no banner, just text... (edited by Kitten Yiffer on 03-09-05 06:41 PM) (edited by Kitten Yiffer on 03-09-05 06:44 PM) |
