Yes I did, and it was very planned out. To make any significant portion of the Internet to go down, you must attack dozens of servers. They're just called "DoS Attacks" for Denial of Service. | |||

It wouldn't be as easy as those reports make it sound to take out large parts of the Internet. However, I think some countries (such as China and Sweden, I believe) have rather few connections to the rest of the web, and thus, could potentially be knocked offline for a while if people joined together on it. Plus the Internet was smaller back then. If one route goes down today there's thousands more to take. |
