Question #1: I asked a question about how to insert the pow graphics from SMAS to SMW I have found the graphics and I saved it to a GFX file but I was talking to Ice Man this afternoon and he said that I have to extract the GFX from my rom including the (AllGFX.bin file) and put the pow graphics along in the allGFX.bin file, but I can't find that in my GFX folder is this true what ice man said about the AllGFX.bin file or was a screw up on his part ?

Question #2: when I insert custom ExGFX files or GFX into LM I can see them in the 8x8 but I can't drag it out on the screen would someone please tell me how to quickly do this ?

Question #3 I have a question about solar sound tracks, black hole said that we can insert SMAS music into SMW by entering notes, but something is still nagging me about that..... is it possible to make custom music by entering custom notes from a MIDI file or wave file ? also I am not asking when the program comes out.

also I want to use this new backrground for my title screen but was wondering if the rom can handle this background or not ?

Sorry about asking questions but I just needed these answered before I go on with my hack.

#1-To get the file, you must enter at "Options" and enable the "Use joined graphics" option, then extract the graphics.

Question #2: You have to open up the 16x16 editor, select a tile, and edit its 16x16 attributes choosing what 8x8 tiles it will use and how will it behave, the LM included help "profundises" on this.

Then, using the add objects menu, choose "direct map acces" to see the blocks you created. You can drag those to the level.

Ok I did what you said odd goo everything almost works but I stiil have a small problem, I inserted the AllGFX.bin file to LM and did not detect it in the list should I use normal seperate GFX files for LM to detect it ?

here is a update:

Ok I seperated the GFX files I can clearly see it on the 8x8 editor but not in the 16x16 editor or add custom blocks part.... can someone please tell me what the heck is going on ?

Using Allgfx.bin will overwrite all of the default GFX each time you upload it. If you want custom graphics and keep the old graphics at the same time, use seperated graphics files.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to ask with that second part.

it's possible to enter notes from a MIDI file to the game, but apparently it's very difficult, and the chances are the you won't get the result you wanted.

And about the BG: it depends on which game it came from.
open the game with yy-chr (my choice of GFX editors). if you can see some of the tiles clearly, it means the GFX are uncompressed, and you can use them for SMW. find the 8x8 tiles used to make the BG, if all of the tiles fill up only half the screen (16 horiz. and 8 vert. 8x8 tiles), just copy them into an ExGFX file, and insert them to your ROM. pick a level and set BG to the ExGFX file you just made. You then have to make all the 16x16 tiles to contain the 8x8s, and then you can copy the 16x16 tiles to the BG editor window. i assume you know how to work with the palettes.

hope that helps.
