The closest thing to this that I've heard of before would have to be that someone (which actually lives in my hometown) got their garage door stolen, and that someone else (friends of my parents) got the suspension on a mobile home stolen, but not a whole bolted down swimming pool.

This just proves that people can, and will steal just about anything.

hmm...those remote cabins aren't aren't as safe as one would think. Also, these people would have to have passed through some small town and you don't see big trucks in such remote regions often anyways. Well, someone has to boast about it...or maybe they'll lie and they were able to buy it used

I don't know what surprises me more, the fact that they did it or the fact that no one caught them as they were doing it.

If this wasn't Norway during the winter, I would *so* have asked if they took the water too.

Wow.

Without a doubt, the second funniest thing I've seen all day.

I guess they -really- wanted a pool.

Jeeze...
This did indeed make me chuckle for a bit. Those people must have hibernated, or the house was isolated far from civilization. But either way, it's a remarkably tremendous feat for a team of guys to dig up the entire 16 foot pool, detaching the steel cables. It's genius in an outrageous way.

The title made me go 'wtf' before reading the article. I mean that had to take a long time to plan and to do in a short amount of time.

Would someone steal from themselves if they were that desparate? Just has to say that after what LizardKing said at the end of his post.

What do you mean, do in a short amount of time? They had from November to a few days ago to pull this off :x

Kay, please read the article before you talk about the article. It wasn't an indoor pool. In the article it says it was in the yard.

I wonder what the pool's weight was.

Anyway, now they only need to fill the pool with money so they can bath in them.

Very quietly.

It's not like they moved it out inch by inch every day for months.. they did it swiftly in one night, no?
As to why.. maybe they were drunk. Or high. Or following through on a dare. Who knows.
