My brother was telling me about what people were doing with nanotech and electronic information about a month or 2 ago.

It just makes you wonder how small they're going to be able to take it.

125 gigs per inch? Yea I wouldn't mind that at all considering my 60 gig is full.

Oh RAM...yea I only have 128 megs of that...that'd definitely be a lot better...now to buy a comp from the year 2010.

I just shit myself.... No really. hehe, this thing is fucking awesome. I hope they actually find a way to do this. From what I am already hearing at ITT-Tech things are all going well technology wise.

I wonder when we will be able to purchase this.

I can imagine that. Actually, I can omagine myself getting a 60 gig, since my fsking 20-something one is almost halfway full.

But, actually, screw that, I want a GRAPHICS card with specs like that. I need that much more.

It is amazing though.

The return of the cartdrige systems?

Or at least, I could see people using Ram-disks alot more again if this was relesed soon. xD

That would be frickin awesome. Though I'd need to do some serious upgrading (or make a LOT of partitions) to use it.

I wonder how fast it is? It could potentially be used as both RAM and a hard drive at the same time. How much would that rule... For that matter, how small is it? I've heard of plenty of systems that could store 80 billion gigabytes in a cubic inch or whatever, but needed a machine like 2 cubic feet to read them. If the entire thing is actually contained in one chip... I could make a Gameboy flash cart that contains every ROM ever made and enough SRAM for millions of saves. Muahaha.

provided this technology is widely available now, all what you say will come true HH...

anyways, this technology seems promising but I don't think it'll be available for general public use until majority of the people here have aged about 15 years after this point. By then, it'll be a while after that before storage uses that technology.

I can't imagine widespread instruments reading and writing things on a molecular level for quite some time. (I know they do it in labs, I'm talking consumer widespread)

Ideally, though, the technology will be there far before "current" HD technology reaches that level and there'll be a big jump and everyone will be all sweet dude now it's like 25 cents for a terabit and I lost twenty of em on the bus but I've got like a hundred more at my pad dude radical

But techincally, dosen't gameboys have a limit on how high addresses it can access, and merely limit how much they can store?

Memory bank swapping. This is how my N64 4x memory card worked, it's how the Mac application Switcher (a clever hack that allowed cooperative multitasking) worked and it's how this would work.

The Gameboy CPU, on its own, can have a max ROM size of 32K. Some Gameboy ROMs are up to 2MB. It's really not that hard to get around limits like that.

Heck, look at NES... Games like Super Mario Bros 3 went far beyond the capabilities it would have had on its own.

Yeah, but it goes deeper than that. I think my abductors were also in league with the eighties.
