Another thing that really bothers me is their pedantic idiocy in learning so much japanese. Sure it's alright to come to japan and communicate in basic tongue for cultural purposes, but give the schoolgirls a chance to learn more about america. They are more turned on by cowboys than computer geeks. And "most" japanese girls are'nt worth dating considering their horrible dentistry. I know, I've lived there for more than 4 years don't try to prove me wrong. If you want a good-looking asian girl, try korea.

Any girl you meet does'nt care about your anime, startrek, pokemon, gameboy, computers, pocket protectors, or anything like that. If you cannot find anything besides all that to talk about, then you're a boring nerd; find something more productive to do.

I'm sure most here would find it sad to admit that his sorry state can so clearly match up with theirs. I pity all those freaks and look down on their ugly sheepish faces.


That's why I just like anime and dont obsess over it. Priorities man! Priorities! Having a real girl is better than watching anime boobs bounce anyday.

If I learnt Japanse, it would just be "Save, load, attack, move, items" and stuff like that. So I could play the damned games without a translation.

Well, but there is alot more people playing DDR in Asia than in the western countries. Becuse of the arcade culture being larger there. So i'm not that surprised.

I know quite a few korean people (mostly from summer enrichment courses) who can own almost anyone on Starcraft. They are vicious and inhuman on Bnet. Although I am very good at rushing people, they manage to beat me in less than 5 minutes.

Don't forget "disc read error". Heck, I just wanted to learn it because I figured it could be useful later. It was either that or Spanish, but I found Japanese more interesting in general.

They have a channel devoted to Starcraft? Wow. We, over here in North America have a channel (G4) devoted to video games in general and it sucks since it's so hard to do 24/7 games. I have no clue how they do 24/7 Starcraft. :O

You know what is funny? I only watch anime because I find it entertaining...Not because I have this obsession with it.

In fact a few days ago I was attacked for being one of these Asianophiles. I simply have a scholarly interest for their culture and great respect for the cuisine. I shit you not.

I'm verbally attacked all the time by the Chinese students for a joke I said when I claimed "one day I'll be Chinese" and winked at my friend Nathan. I had taken Cantonese through his mother. It interested me lots ot understand why a language would form like that. So I became enthralled with Chinese culture. Then I looked at the region and studied the religions and philosophies more scrutonously, and I looked deeper into the the technology. Oddly, some people fail to see a passion for learning about cultures (every year it is a different one, the Asian cultures of Japan, China and India have really stuck with me though) they just see a fat white guy trying to get a Chinese girl...Which I find preposterous given that I'm one of those guys that can make the occasional egg on himself for being attracted to any woman he finds attractive from a physical or personality given stand point. I could go on for hours
