| Would actually look somewhat alright if it wasn't for that annoying animated GIF and the border at the bottom wasn't there. And I don't find the Authors name anywhere.  Now, this site is a better example at how you shouldn't designe a homepage. Sure it does give me nostalagia from the earlier internet age as sites did look like during the 1998's. Hell I still remember.  Althought that was done as a work of satire, but homepages depending on GIF pictures...  |

| It's like they just learned html and they want to express themselves but in the wrong way. Damn, that hurt going through all that on this connection! I remember cheapo sites with no backgrounds and crappy text (Times New Roman) and people posting stupid gifs, vertically to make you scroll down the entire page. We'll probably look back at some of the stuff we made now and have a good laugh. |

| I remember that I deliberately designed a bad web site before. It wasn't MY intention to make it bad though... I designed to specifications given to me by a crazy old fart. And said crazy old fart thinks that there should be background noises, buttons made in Flash, a Java fireworks thing, a different color for just about everything, animated gifs everywhere, etc.... My original draft had no flash, no background noises, no annoying Flash buttons, no Java, very carefully chosen colors and layout, and animated gifs used very sparingly. Apparently that was "unprofessional" as far as websites go, and the loud noisemaking spasm-inducing one he wanted was professionalism at its finest. |

| What was your reaction to that one, Taryn? I would guess one of mild disbelief or disgust. I remember that my friend wanted him to... erm... do his homework for him. I got something in return so I wasn't exploited or anything, but I followed the design specifications and made a plain but functional site.He got 9/10.  |

| Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) no. This was made two years ago, and in that time this guy gave up the business he was running and the site was deleted. Although I did find some entries in the Wayback Machine..... aaah, it's evil it's evil, I never ever want to do anything this evil again oh god!. Note: Every lame design element on that page was specifically requested by the client. Any and all tasteful suggestions were refused. Hell, if I didn't tell him that Blinking Text doesn't exist cause it's so annoying (heh, I lie gooderer) he'd have put that on too. Edit: Looking at that, it's a good thing the links don't work. | Hahahahaha... XDDD. Call about abusing GIF's, althought it's probably looks nice for some people who aren't used to good web design. I could see why some people like that layout, but ugh... people who have no idea about web design shouldn't request and insist on too many things. The Web archive is lovely, I have been able to dig up things from my and my classmates past... that's sorta fun. |

| Yeah, I forgot how bad of a GIF abuser this guy was. If you could actually go into the site, you'd see the massive blocks of text where every section is in a different (and usually unattractive) color. *twitch* And bold, and italic, and underlined.
