You guys are all nostalgic for these computers, treating them like they're some ancient thing. Sheesh, I'm posting on an Apple II!

Alright, time to throw in my floppy 5 inch and play number munchers.

Yeah, it was all largely a pun on Tombstone pizza and their (old?) slogan of "What do you want on your tombstone?"

You guys don't detect sarcasm, huh?

Ah yes.. this game... brings back such lovely memories of elementary and middle school... Though, I fancied Oregon Trail II.... Ooh, I just remembered that silly F18 Hornet game thingy..

Hm... *goes on the trail and brings along some of his comic characters* La de da... Oh.. it's a river... I think I'll be smart and ferry across...

Finest ferry in the midwest, eh? Sounds good to me.

Oh, God, why?! The half-elf and catgirl died! Why?! ... How could they drown in waist deep water? Oh well, we can eat to our fill in stead of meager stuff.... Tra la la la...

I remember playing this neat little IIc game called Bomber in middle school. It was a side-scroller in which you controlled a little airplane and (you guessed it) bombed targets. Unfortunately, as I recall, it was a demo version and eventually stopped working.

Another favorite program of mine was The Print Shop. I made a lot of neat cards and mini-posters with that.

I wasn't gonna eat her I meant that we could just eat our fill from the pounds of food we had. Since two people died, we didn't have to eat meagerly ;;

Oh man I loved this game when I was in elementary school! We used to have one day a week when we spent a few hours on the computers, and we would play this game.. good times. I always managed to die crossing one of the rivers.. that sucked. Not too long ago I remembered this game and wondered what ever happened to it. I dont hear about kids playing it anymore, too bad. Oh the memories.

I loved that game and the only times I played it was in middle school I think. Otherwise it was in elementary school. I can't remember but I know I never made it to the end of the game though. Everyone kept dying on me.

Number Munchers was another fun game that I liked. I know there was other games that I liked from back then but I don't remember the names of them though.

Hah, and Microsoft boasts about their clertype teqnique. When Apple II already had it. (you see thoose wierd colours around the letters? I think they are there for smoothing out the letters... looks wierd on modern monitors but I bet it actually made it smoother on thoose old monitors )

Success, I succeded to kill everyone in my party. Jay!

I guess I need to catch up with thoose old classics, I grew up with early DOS days. No Apple whatsoever.

God damn it.

I got sick of the game when two of my party members just died after no signs of poor health. Not to mention it took for god damn ever.

Lol, it's not a party like in an RPG where you're pretty much total strangers. It's your FAMILY. Next time I go to a funeral I'm going to post a sign "XXXX has left the party." Watch me get beat up.

No, that was actually a result of the technique programmers used to get higher-res text/graphics on the screen. The Apple IIc had a very limited (and strange) video system.

I remember seeing that effect way back when, but didn't think much of it...I thought it was kinda pretty, though. All green n' purple n' orange...

But uh, that was the point of "cleartype like" thing. To make it look like having higher res. Cleartype makes letters to look more smooth even if you don't have the world highest resulution. That wierd colouring made the graphics more smooth.

Althought well... when was this game released?
