Yeah, my pirated Runaway City lacked music..

...what?!

My pirated Civ II also lacked music. Apparently the instructions for it to play music off of the CD are still in there though, as evidenced by the fact that I started one game and suddenly heard part of the Fragile CD from Yes that was in the CD Drive.

Many pirated PC games lack music.
And when I pirated X4 it did indeed lack music.

I know Megaman X4 was released for PC, which fits that description. I pirated it before I bought the PSX version.

Sega probably handled the job of converting the port and adding maybe a couple of extra features like the options and the cheat codes. I think, from what I've played, that both games are pretty much the same.

...Except the Genesis version has putrid sound.

Hmmm.

I misunderstood, but wasn't entirely wrong. You're correct about the arcade version of Ghouls N Ghosts. The Genesis version lists the copyright as "1988 Capcom, Reprogrammed Game 1989 Sega". I'm pretty sure Capcom didn't have anything to do with the development of this version, though (Remember, it was HUGE news in the early 90s when it was announced that Capcom, who I believe were at that point one of the last Nintendo-exclusive third parties, were doing Street Fighter II Champion Edition on the Genesis).

...not old-style DOS like thoose pictures, ugh a PC back then was much more powerful than A NES, but how they succefully make it that ugly. x_X

You sure on Ghouls N' Ghosts, Emptyeye? I just loaded up the arcade rom on MAME and it has Capcom's fingerprints all over it.

This is one of those things that looks terrible enough to pique my curiousity (Sic?).

And apparently Capcom had nothing to do with the game itself (Think Ghouls N' Ghosts, I guess [Ghosts N' Goblins? Capcom. SUPER Ghouls N' Ghosts, also Capcom. Just plain ol' Ghouls N' Ghosts? SEGA!])..

Erm, yes it IS Adamant.

And yes, the game itself is sad. Absolutely putrid control as well, which really notches up the difficulty.

Mega man for PC? *Kyouji Craw checks on GameFAQs

Wow this sounds like crap.

Huh. The guy who wrote the FAQ for it is named Adamant. It's almost certainly not the same person who used to be a mod on this forum, but it struck me as odd.

I remember seeing Mega Man for the PC at Ames for $49.99.

...Yes, Mega Man. You know, the version that I think Capcom feels dirty about putting its name on.

I must say, I always wanted a Skitty plushie. ^^;

...I wouldn't be surprised if there was tons of thoose too, althought I can't imagin an Kefka plushie. Or that guy from Half-life.

Oh!!! Today is the last day that KB Toys will be opened....oh yea, I'm gonna have some fun tonight while at work.

The other day, we threw in a paper airplane into their store and ran back to ours.

I went into an Ames that was going out of business about 2 years ago. It was really kind of sad.

I WANT A CIV3 SPEARMEN AND TANK.

(just a game inside joke, sometimes a spearmen can actually defeat a tank. Rarely happens, but it happens...)

Dude, Lego rocks. I loved to build with thoose as a kid. Hell, I maybe should play with thoose toys again. But now it's a hobby.

Heh, some people should act like kids all over again. Becuse it seems that the smartest people are quite playful hmm...
