Episode 1 and 2 were too high-budgeted, and over done. Now let's talk about being overrated. Anyone who sticks that freak who played anakin in ep. 2 is obviously screwed up.
But episode 1 and 2 had Natilie Portman. Gotta give them some credit. |

The Terminator series, Aliens, The Matrix, Star Wars, Star Trek, Macross Plus (ok, I'm into anime territory now ) and Ghost in the Shell. |

Yes, yes, I agree wholeheartedly.
But since each hour-long episode of Farscape is like a movie itself (there are also many 2- and even 3-parts), can I choose that? |

I think 2001:A Space Odyssey is still the best Sci-Fi movie ever (after watching it a few times...I finally understood most of it)
Either that or Tron...theres somethin about horrible special effects and bad acting that just makes it so great |

No, that would be horribly over-dramable-bad translated-giant-doll fighting genre.
And still, I like those movies. |

Has anyone ever seen it? I heard it was about kids getting killed all over derry, scary for the little ones indeed.
I put my vote on Star Wars, I would have also voted for Star Trk as well, but I guess I have to pick what I like most. I liked Star Wars Episode II, but that's not all I like. |

I dunno...
Bukaroo Banzai in the 8th Dimension is GREAT.
OH!!
Does the Matrix Trilogy count as Sci-Fi? If so, I'm up for those. |

Saw some bits from Starship Troops, wierd movie...
Star wars is the only one I can think of the top of my head, but it's quite unrealistic for an Sci-Fi Movie.
Originally posted by Oin Ironbreaker Doesn't really matter to me. I like Star Trek's much more realistic [sounding attempts to explain/] explanations as to why what does whatever, and so on. Star Wars has the cool people and weapons. Most of the others...bleh.
Yeah, Star trek has alot of things which is based on real science. |

Star Wars. Easily.
But you forgot a very good movie in that last, Total Recall. |

Two words: The. Matrix.
Not the sequels, the original. It's rather sad that both follow ups to one of the greatest action movies ever let up to be dissapointments. Revolutions is better named Revoltions. |
