And if I'm not mistaken, Visual C++ has a lot of its own proprietary stuff, which has definitely changed between versions. If they've only added features since then, the old code will still work, but more than likely they've removed or renamed several things too. |

I'm sure there are. C/C++ have evolved a lot over the years... some older C code won't even compile on modern compilers.
Get a book that's up to date. |

Im starting to learn C++, my question is, are there major differences between visual studio 1.0 and 6.0? im asking this because i have a book that i could check out but it is based on version 1.0. |
