It may be big, but have you taken a look at the gfx? They aren't exactly a space saver. Good choice on RPGmaker though... |

Nevermind. I am now trying to prepare rpg maker. It is more specific. I was using the unregistered version of gamemaker. Here is what one of the sprites looked like: The graphics are 3d, not the playing field. Does rpg maker HAVE to have such a large RTP? 11 mb! Dang! |

You need Direct3d if the application requires it. Even most 2D applications use direct3D because directX 8 never supported 2D and directX9 might not either.
The way they want you to do 2D in directX is to paint a big square that takes up the whole screen with a rotation of 0 on all axis, so it looks 2d. Then paint your 2d image as a texture on the square.
No. I'm not kidding. |

Grrrrrrrr! Don't make two threads!!! One is enough. Plus, you spelled DOUBT wrong.
Which GM version do you have? You might have downloaded a version that's not compatable with the version of windows/mac/whatever you have. You need to download the latest version of Direct X and possibly the correct version of GM.

I can't play the games I make with gamemaker! Old graphics cards don't work with it because it doesn't support "Direct 3D". I dought my game even uses Direct 3D! Can anyone help? Is there a way to disable Direct 3D?
PS: If not, can someone help me test my game? |
