A way to make scanlines: Create a new image, 1x2. Make the top pixel black and leave the bottom pixel transparent. Then, save as pattern, and on your base layer, blending options->pattern overlay, well, you know how its done.

I made them all with Photoshop CS according to tutorials. 1 was scanlines, 1 was the text effect and the lightning. unfortunately all those tutorials that I found were written in the Dutch language. the reason why the 2nd one loox kinda crappy is that it was my first creation ever with Photoshop and it wasn't anti aliased. the last one was made for a friend as some of you might've guessed. if all you people want the tutorials I used I'll maybe look them up and (try to) translate them. |

Ahaha!
After speaking to Havoks, I learned that PSP had a filter for those lines. I wasn't aware it was just a pixel of black and a pixel of nothing, alternating, going across the screen. In photoshop all you have to do is define that as a pattern.

Thats watts they call scanlines. If your bored, add them line by line. Otherwise, I am sure PSP or something has that feature to do watts he did. |

Besides the bits of white hanging out of the second one (not meant for this board, eh?), they're looking good.  Tell me, on the first one, how did you get that sort of television effect for the background? |
