I know. Whenever I miss, it's by one block. Though really, the only way I can see you missing it that much is if you held forward the entire time. That actually slows you down

Yeah, You're right... And JJ, I made the second part a solid platform and moved it one block closer. I seriously doubt it's possible to not make this jump now if you try. Better?

Just for some friendly advice, you should at least change around some of the palettes. Seriously, anything is better than the original SMW colors. I've also had the same problem as you do. I've made hacks and believed that they were a breeze to play, but then others thought different. This is because I knew every little trick necessary to get past the difficult parts, but others didn't. Now I just try to test my levels over and over again and think to myself, "If this wasn't my hack, would it be a pain in the ass to beat?" Just try to work these things out, you'll get it right once you try.

That's one too many. To be honest, I only made it the second one before I stopped playing. I could care less about the videos, I don't doubt that you can make them. My point was that not everyone can make it every time. I doubt everyone can even make it 1 in 3, like I can. That isn't very fun for anyone.

EDIT: And I am on AIM. I just have a closed list.

Er, JJ, get on AIM so I can send you the videos (freewebs is down). If you check the dates they were made, I think you'll find I made them all within a relatively short timespan, and only had time to die 3 times.

And you say that I stuck them in too many times? Well count again, I only use it twice.

Did I ever say it was hard? That's right, I didn't. I can make the jump, say 1 out of 3 tries. If I'm not using savestates, and considering how many times you decided to stick the jumps into your levels, there goes pretty much all of my lives. You've gotta consider these things when you're making a hack; hell, when making any game.

I would hardly consider myself having "the shittiest timing the world." You should at least try to make your hack playable AND fun. Having to use savestates to make my timing exact is not exactly my idea of playable and fun. Either eliminate (or at least reduce, for god's sake) jumps that require perfect timing or make them optional by having them lead to something worthwhile. Or even make the punishment for failure smaller, geez.

Eh? What seems to be the problem? Are they impassable? No. Are they difficult to pass? Only if you have the shittiest timing the world has ever seen.

Yeah, that's kinda the point. It's challenging, but it's not damningly impossible like most hacks.

Oh, yeah, and can I get some actual feedback, not just "It's better than the previous"?
