Whatever race i am (which will probably be human warlock) you can bet my name will be Valcion. |

I might play it as long as the playcards (if they use that method) are available in Canada.
And at REASONABLE prices too - not $49.99 for a 60-day SWG card.
Having said that, I'd likely do a lot of experimentation. Probably melee to start off, then Mage. |

Yes, I'd definately like to affiliate with board members, 'twould be wooty.
As for names? Oftentimes I use my real name, since Tolmar is kinda badass sounding. I don't know if it really fits the type of character I'm interested in though.
Which brings me to another point. What type of characters are we all going to play? I'm thinking of going for a rogue, not sure what race. Probably Undead, Nightelf, or Human, depending on what side my friends take up and what I can make a cool looking character for. |

I'm well aware that I need to buy a new one, but when you have an oppressive paternal figure...it's tough.
I got it all but the RAM. Once I start at Stop and Shop, that'll change fo sho. |

Fascinating.
It wouldn't be very intimidating to use any of my names to date, minus Toxic.
My first name, on AOL, Jebscap. Nickname "Jeb" and first 4 letters of last name "Scap"
Then there was Brickwall55, as Brick wall, being I am and was an awesome goalie at soccer. 5 being my lucky number (then, it's 6 now for whoever is keeping score)
Then came CoventryTE37, on AIM. Coventry high school, tight end, number 37.
Then Johnbadia5, after Strongbadia, and my lucky number.
Finally (so far) Toxic Avenger6. Toxic Avenger being confused with Swamp Thing, a wimpy name anyway. From my childhood action figure playing.
Now it's just Toxic everywhere I can. Not too bad. |

When I started PSO on Dreamcast, the name "Pinion" was already taken so I just pulled "Sylrus" out of my ass. It seemed like a good fantasy type name so I stuck with it. And whenever I can, I just use Legion Sylrus. If I can't, I can always use Sylrus. |

Yeah, next gen might as well be 2 or 3 gen's away with this comp.
What's the Sylrus part for? |

Well, I checked Gamestop and there isn't any official system specs yet but you can probably be assured it's the same as any other new gen game out there right now.
As for me, I'll go for the name I always choose in MMORPGS. Legion Sylrus |

Does anyone know the specs?
I know I won't be able to run it, but I can sure dream.
As for a hypothetical name. That's a good question. Human would be something like Petoria Maximus *edit* For human, definitely one of the names from Monty Python Orc would be Bartholemuel the Cleanly (/sarcasm) or more likely Igor the Terrible / Grom Deathead. Something badase

So.....
It looks as if none of us made beta.
Oh well, in due time, in due time.
Until then...
What are your guys' plans on names? You going with your online name here or something else?
Also, are we going to start a clan or what? Or are we just going to be aquaintences? |

I'm really hoping i get in, i sincerely doubt it because i'm hotmail.
But if i get in, you can probably expect something from me, if i'm not going out and killing things with my warlockness. |

Well, here's how I see it.
If I get into one of the beta phases, sweet. Gives me time to check out the game, test it for bugs and see if it's "all that".
If the only option is an open beta... Screw that. Stress test + bunch of morons on the servers = no fun.
I'm not blaming Blizzard for Canadian bias unlike everyone else giving our country a bad name. |

Arg, no e-mail here either. Still have my fingers crossed though...
But as long as ONE of us gets one, it'll be all good. But we'll expect FULL details! |

No email for me yet. I hope I'm in one of those later "batches". If I don't get in, and you guys do. You can just kiss my rosy @$$. You had better share some info if one of you guys get in. |

The beta's officially live as of 9 PM this evening - and man did the b.net forums look like a mess.
I don't have an e-mail yet... from Katricia on the b.net forums:
Check your inboxes ... the emails are being processed in batches and may take several hours to reach you -- in some cases as long as a day or two.
Good to know at least especially since nobody seems to have a beta e-mail yet. (Aside from fansites, who more than deserve them of course.)
EDIT: To Yarx and any other Canucks - *NO* Canadians are reporting receiving a beta e-mail (aside from Blizzard Friends and some alpha testers). That's a bit weird. |

Hm. I'm going to go with my "Friday but the servers only go up on Monday" prediction.
If the beta's as large as everyone says it is, some people might NEED that weekend to get the client. |

We are currently moving the Alpha Testers onto the Beta Server. This helps test the Account Creation process as well as the server in general.
